Xbox 360 Screen Freezes?

The screen suddenly freezes when i play Tekken 6 at random times, other games seem to be not affected. When this happens i cannot bring up the guide or do anything with the controller, the only option i am left with is to restart the console by the standby button. My xbox is placed in a well ventilated place so the problem is not the console overheating. At first i thought the disc may be the problem so i installed it to the hard drive, this did not resolve the problem. I then installed my mates copy onto my console and still had the same problem. Now i have exchanged my copy of tekken for a new one and yet again still have the same problem. I know the problem is not caused by the hard drive as the screen still freezes when it is detached, neither are my tv/xbox settings are to blame. The screen freezes during both online and offline play. Im guessing the problem is with my xbox, microsoft can only fix it if i pay them as i got it a year and a half ago, which means my 1 year warranty has expired.

Anyone know why i have this problem or a possible solution?

P.S. ps3 bum boys keep out this thread!!!

There's your problem, playing T6 without a proper d-pad triggers a reaction to your system hardware causing it to overheat or freeze.

How do I fix this?

nah only tekken which is kinda wierd, ive tried 3 copies and it still happens so its definately not the cd.

Hmm...

Checked your save data? Might be corrupted

Id delete everything(save data, installation), then install it straight away without playing it first

i removed the hard drive and played it and it still freezes

Put in another game, mess around on that for a few mins... then put Tekken back in and try that

Sounds stupid but I remember doing that back in my ps2 days when a certain game wouldnt start up

Just done a bit of research Aqib, here's a few tips man, I was gonna tell u this over live but forgot and logged out

1. First just check incase there's any scratches (but I know there aren't coz u bought anotha copy)
2. It would probably be best to record the times/levels/maps and see where it seems to fuck up the most
3. Best thing to do would probably stop listening to weezy and go to the Xbox dashboard, settings, clear the cache
4. Contact Microsoft, coz ur 360's already had the rrod, ring em and tell em that your a bitch and explain Tekken keeps freezing at certain times (look at step 2 and see if there's any certain points it keeps freezin at)

It freezes at complete random times, no particular place. Ive tried clearing the cache and that doesn't solve anything, in fact it still freezes without a HDD attached to my xbox so its definately not that. I rang microsoft and explained it to them, they asked me for a 90 pound fee to fix it!!! fuck that, im going to have to wait till it gets the red lights itself.
