Yo! How to I connect my ps2 for online play?

I have a slimline ps2, with a modem that I use on my pc to on the internet with.

I don't wana go on the internet with my pc and my ps2 at the same time, plus the modem has a USB wire....

Any help??

Can I just plug my usb wire from the modem into my ps2 and play online??

I've never used my ps2 online but make sure you installed the online installation cd that came with the slimline ps2. Then attach the usb wire from your ps2 to the modem, it should work.
