DangerDoom Review (Leave It In Underground)
 1) El Chupa Nibre The album starts real nice here, DOOM's first few lines really are just like lettin you know - 'dont fuck with me, you think i fell off ? you thought wrong' First thing i noticed about this track is DOOM's flow - holy shit, DOOM has perfected his flow ! I'll be straight right now, on Operation Doomsday the flow was complete ass, which made it hard to listen to, thats all fixed now thank god. Danger was good enough here, i mean it's heat, but it is still one of my least favourite beats on the album. 2 hings annoyed me about this track - 1) The censoring, i mean was that needed ? and 2) DOOM dissin M.I.C callin them Midgets Into Crunk, that was fuckin wack, especially whenever u hear Grimm's reply, i bet DOOM wishes he never dropped that now Stand Outs: The superflow, more jokes than Bazooka Joe // A mix between Supafly Snuka and a super ho' // And did a solo on the oboe // Could have sold a million then the villain went for dolo // 2) Sofa King Ok, legendary intro, its just so random, but still is able to be cool. The beat is amazing here, one of my favourites from Danger actually. Hearin DOOM talk about how his mask is startin to stink makes me chuckle aswell, and he steps up his multies game here too, ok so its not exactly on the level of Em or Pun, but it shows that there is still live in the old MF yet. Cant really fault this track at all, it flows so sweetly, there is no hook or anything to get in the way, just raw raps flowing from start to finish. Funny outro as well Stand Outs: Scared of a bunch of water, then get out the rain // Order a rapper for lunch and spit out the chain // Then kick a lungee of the tip of his timbo // And trick a honey dip into a game of of strip limbo // Feds tried to tortue him for the secret recipe // He said: It's no use, I only know half // No speake de english. I only do the math // Zzzzz. Felt no pain // His brain was saturated with cocaine and Rogaine // 3) The Mask Track kicks off with a kick ass sample for like 5 seconds, bit of a beat then BOOM ! DOOM just dives in, and fuckin rips it ! I don't think i have EVER heard DOOM flow like this, really, i never expected to hear a flow from him that was this hot, i was shocked. He is rappin about his mask, the hero, and when his verse is done, there is a nice calm instrumental and then once again BOOM ! Ghost steps in and tears the track a new asshole, just like DOOM did on his verse. GFK is tellin the story of when he was on the run and he had to wear a mask like DOOM. Danger brings it to a new level on this one, this beat is like nothing else on the album, and it has Ghostface written all over it, id say he made it with him in mind. Finishes with a skit about someone beggin Mouse for a beat, there are a few of these type scattered throughout the album. Stand Outs: Whether you's a rapper or dang sanger // Once you in the zone only one way out, like a gang banger // With a new crew keychain and street name // What set do he claim for fame, peep game // For the record, G, came back a year later, whole new identity // Tony Starks pedigree, my money green like my nickname was celery // 4) Perfect Hair Not too fond of this track at all, easily my least favourite on the whole album, couldve been saved if the beat was better but sadly, its one of Danger's weaker beats. Nothing here that would convince me to come back to this track really, maybe the album couldve done without it, but what ever, im sure some people will like it. Skit at the end where the obsessive Mister Shake is trying to get @ Danger AGAIN. Stand Outs: Honestly, i dont think there are any 5) Benzi Box OMFG, this is EASILY one of the greatest tracks i ever heard in my life, its got Cee-Lo on there, so its basically Gnarls Barkley feat. DOOM. Im listenin to it as i type, I honestly think it gets better evry time i hear it ! Its so perfect, everything, the beat, the hook, the lyrics and flow. DOOM comes with not 1 but 2 amazing verses on this one, and this is Cee-Lo and Danger at their very best, could you imagine a MF Barkley album ? i think i would actually die from excitment. Best track on the album, probably in my top 5 of all time Stand Outs: Cee-Lo: His name's DOOM They wonder just who he is But don't worry, Believe me he'll get Bizzy. When it comes to poetry he's got plenty. La la la. La la la la la Eh, if I may interject ? // Rap these days is like a pain up in the neck, // Cornier, and phonier than a play fight, // Take two of these and dont call me on a late night // Jump em' in the ump rope, double Dutch // Then turn on the mic with a thumb stroke // Subtle touch, cuddle, clutch, is this thing on // Like the fling with Mrs. King Kong, this spring gone ? // Sing a song of slaphappy crappiness // He came to blow like it was strapped to his nappy chest // 6) Old School Rules TALIB KWELI BABY ! Good guy to have on a track called Old School like, he keeps it old school. His verse is based around his childhood, about him rappin over his cereal bowl and about cartoons, Talib is the man, he can make anything cool. He does the hook too, which is cool enuff, keeps it simple, its catchy. DOOM comes in on the 2nd verse, raps about Hong Kong Phooey for a bit lol, wish he did a bit on his childhood in the UK though, that wouldve been nice for us UKers. Danger does it again like, he is probably the best producer out right about now. Stand Outs: I was, makin up a miracle flow, over a cereal bowl // And a paused beat from my stereo // Like, in order to spit it dope, you gotta have a criminal past that's similar to the cast of Different Strokes // Me and my people break bread, sit and smoke // The conversation rich, but that depend on what you consider broke // 7) Aqua Teen Hunger Force LMFAO ! This skit is pure gold, there is no way round it, Meatwad and Carl from A.T.H.F are talkin a bit of shit about rap, it hilarious, u have to hear it for yourself to be honest. But anyway, aside from the skit, the beat blew me away, another one of my favourites from Danger. I like the way DOOM actually incorporates A.T.H.F into his verse, not that i know too much about it or the rest of [adult swim] but its still kool. The samples Danger uses from A.T.H.F are pretty genius, especially the one right at the end of his verse, that was legendary. but then Master Shake calls AGAIN ! its starting to annoy me by this point, im ready to snap ! Stand Outs: Look out, don't block the screen son, lunge across // Tryin to watch [Adult Swim], "Aqua Teen Hunger Force!" // Rock this cult hymn, sock your mean younger boss // Psht - [Adult Swim], "Aqua Teen Hunger Force!" // He often wondered, should he get the logo tatted to his woody ? // He could be "#1 in the hood, G!" // All he had upstairs was a crude light // You think that's weird ? He lived next door to a food fight // Howdy Danger, much obliged for the beat God // Even though you still eat lard, by the Meatwad // 8) Basket Case Nice laid back beat from Danger, im lovin it ! DOOM spits some heat right here, there are these samples used that are trying to make DOOM out to be insane, then he sort of pleads his case, its a nice comment, this is one of his most lyrical outings aswell, it really impresses me, everytime i hear it, it isnt gettin old at all. And get this - Master Shake doesnt call at the end of it !! what more do you need in a track ? I started punchin once I saw son lungin // He had me put on punishment for eating the last Munchkin // So now they got me down here near the dungeon // Nurses all arguin' over who's to do the spongin // He requested time off for bugged behavior // And rhymed off of thug beats bumped by a neighbor // Who spoke with his fist and kept a mirror with a thumbhole // Cell twelve drumroll, ode to a gum sole // 9) No Names (Black Debbie) Skit annoys me a bit here, was it really needed ? Doesnt matter, its no big deal, once the beat kicks in your mind will go all funky on ya, and you'll forget all about it. DOOM's flow here is soo perfect for the beat and he brings it with the lyrics too, so fresh, no gangsta shit, its just new, fresh. Another thing i like is the fact it lasts for a decent ammount of time ! Alot of the other tracks on here are too short. LMFAO @ the outro makin fun of Dre. Stand Outs: Even if it's crap, mind your own business // They raps ain't got no gift like a lonely Christmas // Real phony with beats that's hardly fresh // How they manage to deal is anybody's guess // Yours is as good as mine, she's sure fine // From the hood where you squeeze your nine off the free cheese line // New York'n, a hell of a finer town // Choose your words wisely from the Boogie Down to Chinatown // Or be found with a hole in your designer gown // In the role of public opinion it earned a minor frown // 10) Crosshairs The guitar at the start is soo cool, i love it, and then the main beat kicks in, its so smooth and DOOM knows it, so he gets smooth on it here too. Another good point about the ebat is, its not just a boring loop, it keeps fresh all the way through the track, changing up quiet often with new strings played on the guitar. Weird skit on the outro though lol. Stand Outs: The fat is in the fire, a fryer made of chicken wire // Gettin sick and tired of a friggin liar // Pelican, with some very soft mangoes // A closet full of skeletons and terry cloth Kangols // Snafu, snatch any brew, LaBatt's Blue // Black jew like that's new, patch me through // No latch attached, skat shoo, catch twenty-two // Super, he's loaded dice nice // And overpriced, a arm and a leg; homey life or your ice // 11) Mince Meat DOOM really really brings it here, its another one of his beats lyrical show cases, definatley. The sample Danger uses here is really cool aswell, i like it a lot, its pretty clever aswell. The beat is good too, nice and laid back. The drums are so slick and the main beat reminds me of some kind of Oriental type tune. No bad points on this one i dont think, both of the guys do their thing here, its by this point in the album you just become amazed by how much chemistry there actually is between the pair. Stand Outs: Brush your teeth rinse and gargle, // A true nerd who messed with new words since boggle, // And used slang in scrabble, // Rhymed with a northern drawl twang and babble, // Welcome to the show, // Remember whatever you do do not boo the flow, // School the dumb on the number one rule of thumb, // What a fool still you never meet a cooler bum, // Give the drummer some rum, // I'm sure he could use a shot, // Just to get his cues hot, // Make sure he dont lose his spot, // 12) Vats Of Urine DRINK UP BITCHES ! LMAO ! wow this one crack me up EVERY SINGLE TIME . DOOM is a hero for real, when have you ever heard a track with a topic like this, and he take a HUGE shot at the industry by practically tellin all the rappers out there - watch some of that crystal, u might be drinkin my piss. Lovin it. The skit at the start Ignignokt cracks me up with that rap God thing. Beat is cool too, its just what you would expect from Danger by this point. The only downside is that its a bit short, but that doesnt really suprise me, how long can you realistically rap about vats of urine for. You really have to hear this track, so many creative lines in it and the skits at the start and end - lmao ! Stand Outs: Everybody talkin 'bout pistols, gats is borin // He came with a new topic to flip you, vats of urine // All pro, check the stats, his style scorin // While you at it, double check that Cristal you're pourin // Tempted by a empty can of Guinness // Or waitin until we get there, say two or three minutes // Yeah, when it's fresh, it's sterile // Some say digestible, even edible // If you was stranded out to sea, alone and in trouble // Survive dehyrdation, guzzle your own cup full // 13) Space Hoes Space Ghost ! I havnt seen that show in years, it used to be on at some crazy time on Cartoon Network and it was funny as hell. Use the Space Ghost sample is great, really clever, especially the intro one. Beat ? no suprises here, Danger just doin what he does best ! DOOM is just keepin it fresh, rappin about startin his own show on public access tv ! lmfao quality stuff. Stand Outs: Its all love and no hate though // For all that, he really need to get his own Late Show // Do a monolouge and jest with the guests // Madlib switch the beat and walk him to the desk // With Danger holding down the control room // Late again returning from commercial // I told you Doom // Early, hes on BPT // Catch him on public acess free TV // 14) Bada Bing Sadly, when you get here, the album is almost over. Glad to see that they kept a nice long track for last, makes it last longer, obviosuly. The beat is hard to describe, its hot like, but its sort of funky in parts, i cant actually describe it, you'll just have to hear it for yourself. DOOM has just amazed me by this point, he just keeps bringing it and bringing it throughout the album, in my opinion even more than he did on Doomsday. Can you guess how it ends though ? I bet you can, MASTER SHAKE CALLS ! DAMNIT ! WHY ?!?!?! WHY ?!?! THAT WAS NOT NEEDED ! and the worst part is the fact that he goes : But, if there is another project in the future please keep me in mind, which means he could return some day ! Meatwad does a free after the call though so its worth hearin that annoyance Shake once more, its actually funny as hell, MW cracks me up. Stand Outs: Hold somethin for your daily yay habit // Then go, bada-bing-bing-bing like ricochet rabbit // How 'bout the sicko say stab it? // There's liquor in the cabinet and a slicker for the crafted // And Heineken, I told him much obliged friend // What I gotta spend, if I only touch her thighs then ? // ... why his eyes widened // He didn't know your man had a nice surprise hidin // Took pride in ridin in a sly wiseguy grin // Overall, i gotta say i loved this album, apart from a few niggles here and there, but that would just be silly nit picking. Definatley a modern day classic, and probably the best album that dropped in 2005, yes, even better than Grandmasters, and thats comin from a HUGE GZA fan. Danger's beats and DOOM's rhymes just compliment each other so well, its unreal, there is so much chemistry between the pair and i cant wait for the next one (yes, thats right, its in the works). Oh and by the way, its offical the UK has a classic album, cus Danger is of course UK born and raised and DOOM was born in the UK ! HA ! A+   |

This is the album that put me on Doom. I'd heard some of his stuff before but never really felt it and then one day i was in the store and i couldnt leave without buying a CD so i picked this up and loved it. Since then i went back and listened to some other Doom and i've been converted.
