i know his story and shit so yall dont have to fill me in on that...and i know this dude's come-up, but i just wanna know why yall like him a lot....thats just my question to you drake fans....i find his talent cool, but dude is too cocky, and he aint really that impressive on the mic

^yeah im wit u on that...i mean i peeped his past work and nothing special.....and i have to admit that his 'best ive ever had' single is kinda growing on me, but he's nothing special though...dude is soo fuckin cocky

.....i can see why peeps call him the new fresh prince, but this dude was all about rap in the beginnin...he did acting to finance his rappin, whereas will smith was all about actin.....he needed the rappin to jumpstart his acting career....so its kinda hard to say he's the new fresh prince

^Where did you hear that, dude started doing TV as a kid, I seriously doubt he had ambitions of rap stardom at that point.

To answer your question though, I just find his music very entertaining.

He's a very good songwriter, a capable lyricist, has a cool delivery, has excellent taste in production, can deliver a good mix of rap, r&b, and pop, all of which I like to certain degrees, and just makes generally enjoyable music.

And if you've ever heard/seen an interview of dude, he's the opposite of cocky, if anything, he's overly "humble," lol. Maybe you're getting that from his rhymes or something, but even that would kind of confuse me.

I can listen to dude every once in a while but listening to a whole mixtape straight through kills me... he comes across really cocky in that Trey Songs video. He just reminds me of what kind of artist I don't want to listen to in that video. I have seen a few interviews and he really comes across as an annoying dickrider though.... which annoyed me more I think.

He's not that great of a rapper at all but I do like some R&B and maybe that's where he gets me.... he has a lot of softer shit on his tape. Idk.

I'm not sayin' I'd go out and buy his album but I do throw a song on or two every once in a while.

hes one of the few mainstream artists with decent rhyme schemes and catchy hooks, i dont like him but i can understand why other people do. for example i will hear a verse from him and cringe at all of the corny lines and when i talk to people who listen to that type of stuff they will be reciting them and claiming g.o.d. status
