Apocalypse has Come! (Late Pass)

Mr. Lif is one of my favorite rappers. I can appreciate his music a lot more right now and I'm really enjoying it. However, the rest of Def Jux still sounds gay as fuck. Although I must say I actually do have a slight increase in respect for El-P's production. Not as terrible as what I remember from when I originally tried to get into them.

But back to Lif. Well, I don't believe that any of his albums are as classic as most of his fans will claim, but they're good, for the most part. But for me, it's not the overall good vs bad album rating, its more of an overall emcee review, and he rocks his style dope and has a lot of verses that are just very easy listening but still good in quality, not compromising to quote duke himself.

So, if you haven't tried bumpin' some of his shit, I suggest it. Pretty much anything from his first few joints is satisfying. And I know I'm pretty fuckin' late on this shit, but in my defense, I never hated Lif as much as the rest of DJ squad, but not comparatively speaking, I still thought he was whack.

I live in a city that has a load of gays that listen 2 50 and nothing else, either that or Oasis and ARctic Monkeys. I start going on about Hilltop Hoods, C-Rayz Walz and Cannibal Ox and i get funny lks, so yeah, my local CD store only has Lif's latest album.

If thats any gd i shall go and buy it at the week end

@ Shyne and Rapsody: Nah, their deliveries, energy, flow, lyrics, etc. are different. Their is a string of similarity, which is why at first I wasn't a fan, but the differences are more noticeable now for me at least.
