Two Unpopular Opinions
Mos Def's shit in the '90s is quite possibly the best shit an emcee has ever put out. Travellin' Man is a top 5 song.
Jus Allah was and still is amazing. His new style is dope, and while his old shit was better, his new shit is still better than 90% of the shit comin' out in the underground right now. You can either relate to his hate or not, plain and simple.

I think im actually going to co-sizzle the mos def part, in the 90's he put out music that was honestly perfect in almost every sense of the word. Flows, lyrics, singing, beats, the way he put songs together. He perfectly meshed underground emceeing with mainstream song crafting.
Jus Allah though, ugh. I give him his props on rhyming cause he does rhyme a LOT of shit, but what he's rhyming is wack, I mean c'mon, the fucking Disney of Misery? did he think that was dope? the shit he did before though with Blue Sky Black Death is fucking classic, made me an instant fan and blew my fucking mind

His verses on Deadly Melody, Godflesh, and Terror are classic. Perfect rhyme scheme, content, delivery, everything. Shit is beautiful. And his verse on Stoupe's album wasn't that bad. Not the greatest, but it's decent. And of course all his Omnipotent AFHC shit (aka some of that BSBD shit you talkin' about) is legendary, no questioning that.
