04/23/08 - I picked up that new Atmosphere joint...

I got the deluxe version for $12 at best buy, got home and opened it up, flipped through the book (which was a cute little distraction at best...no homo).

Anyways thought I would check out the Sad Clown Bad Dub 13 first, very well put together dvd, cam's are in the perfect positions and the sound is right on point, very crisp. Slug gives his all when he performs, fucks with the crowd, talks shit, and it just overall entertaining, the show go’s on for about 50 minutes with the bonus section that contains a bonus song and some pictures. In short its one of the best concert dvd's ive seen, and the fact that it was pretty much a freebie (The deluxe was only $2 more then the regular version) is just the icing on the cake. I havnt even checked the new body of work but in all honesty, if you're a fan of Atmosphere then the DVD alone is worth spending the money. I only wish they would have included the web episodes of that little show they did promoting it, those were fucking funny lol.

Also picked up Prodigys album but haven’t opened it yet, and my girl got me Cloverfield which i'll probably pop in today if I feel better (im sick as a fucking dog right now lol).

Aight I checked about half that Atmos album, very laid back, a lot more relaxed then I expected, Slug does his thing but its not as personal as his old joints. Overall im enjoying it a lot though.

Also checked Some of P's album, lyric for lyric Prodigy's spitting back in top form, not as good as his old Mobb days but still he stepped it way the fuck up from his last joint. Beats are ok for the most part too but a lot of them have these really annoying strings that kill it for me, like I'll hear this dope ass beat all dark and shit then they hit this fucking annoying string like 4 times that makes my fucking head feel like its splitting in two. Overall its better then expected but the production could have been cleaned up. Bonus DVD from Best Buy came with 4 music vids as well, mainly P dancing around without his shirt...needless to say its not going back in the player.

and Finally Cloverfield's DVD owns, one of my favorite Monster movies of all time, dope extra's that reveal a lot of shit the movie didnt (For example the monster is just a new born baby looking for its mom, when its roaring its yelling for her, ect). Some deleted scenes, making of doc, a very well made feature showing how they did all the special effects and 2 alternate endings (although the only thing really different is the last 30 or 40 seconds of footage from the main person and that girl he boned).

Also came with a Best Buy bonus dvd, the guy who was holding the cam through the whole movie was given another cam to go around the set and fuck with people, turns out dude is a comedian and very funny, I laughed my ass off just about the whole way through, very funny. If you decide to cop the movie I would reccomend getting it from Best Buy just for that,

lyrically this is the best shit he's dropped in fucking years, he's actually back to rhyming, and some ill rhymes on top of that, I havnt heard P like this in a long fucking time.
