State of the Compact Discs

I was just enjoying the feeling I get by opening new CDs, it was Supreme Clientele, Stillmatic and College Dropout, all outstanding albums I needed to buy for one reason or another...But here the thing, I was thinking how they say the Compact Discs is soon to start disapearing, like casettes they say...
So what yall think about that? I think it makes it more interesting for those of us who got an actual collection of CDs that would be more valuable (money wise and sentimentaly wise)...And I don't even care about the CDs production coming to an end in the future, cuz by then, I doubt there will be shit I really would like to buy.

yeah i understand where u comin from.....and that really sucks mayne......and i dont know what to say.....i always have that thought too.....blowin about 10+/- dollars on a cd......in the end, it wont do any good like the cassettes.....

its just like the mp3 players (i.e. the ipods)......u get one now; a while later, u got some iphone technology coming out (but, they already made it yet unreleased to the public)....

but i think u should enjoy it now.....in the future, u probably wont give a shit about a cd collection.....

I got into the habit of buying CD's long before i ever had internet access so i have quite a big collection. Never really thought about CD's coming to an end. Doubt it will happen soon enough to affect me though.
