Ghost dropping same day as the Wu!

Hip hop heads can add Ghostface Killah to the insane December 4th lineup, which already includes Styles P, Saigon, DJ Clue, Busta Rhymes...and the Wu-Tang Clan.

A video of Ghostface surfaced in recent days (as shown below). Fans expecting an explanation for the baffling decision to release a Ghostface album the same day as a Wu-Tang one will be disappointed, as Ghost announced simply this: "This is real talk right here man - no pork on the fork - its your boy Ghostface, Tony Starks...you know how I do. I got that album coming...Wu-Tang's dropping the album on the same day I'm dropping...you feel me? December fourth, it's called 'The Big Dough Rehab.'"

Currently, Ghostface is touring with Witch Doctor as part of Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim Tour." In November, Ghost will be touring with Rakim. Remaining tour dates for the Adult Swim tour with Witch Doctor are below:

I bought Fishscales and More fish, Plus I own Iron man and Supreme Cleintel...... More fish wasn't evne that good and neither was fishscales. And a new Wu album? I'm not gonan buy it just cause it's a wu album. I did that with the W when I was in middle school... wasn't worth it. If it's good we'll see.

lmao, you slipping Blaze, there's so many things wrong with this im not sure where to start.

Fishscale and More Fish were dope as fuck, in fact cut out all the skits and that bonus track with BIG on Fishscale and shit is a classic Ghostface album.

Second the W is dope as a muh fucka, shit is dark as fuck, Isnt a weak track on that album.

3rd Sai's album will be dope for sure, picking it up over the Wu though would be a mistake. Personally im picking up all 3 (although lets be honest, no way in hell are they going to let Sai drop his first album on the same day as the Wu, they might let him put out his street album but his official shit isnt dropping with Wu)

Sorry to say Shyne, but I'm not really anticipating this neither. I was never really a fan of Ghostface's solo material anyways. I don't think the group album is going to be that good either, but I'll give that a chance.

I doubt Sai and Ghost would get pushed back. It would make sense for the Wu to push their shit back. It would not only not conflict with Ghost but it would also cease any anticipations for a competition with Sai. I mean of course peeps will cop Wu's shit over Sai's... but Sai is long overdue... so he will probably sell too.

What is Wu's first single?? I mean I don't judge artists on sales at all but I don't think any label is that scared of competing with them on that level.

And for the record... Fishscales > More Fish. I'm not saying they were both horrible, I mean I did buy them both and play them fairly often but they just weren't GREAT.... sorry if you think I'm "slippin".

The Wu should move at least 300k, they'll probably go gold at best but at this point in hip hop thats not bad.

Sai will probably push 100k at very best, his buzz is long since dead and he doesnt have any songs popin anymore. I doubt he's going to go gold, even with Blaze production.

Aight, lemme kick some knowledge. First off, Wu is goin' at least gold, if not platinum or a couple times over. All their group albums went either multi-platinum (Forever, W), platinum (36 Chambers), or gold (IF) and they didn't even have the promotion that all these mainstreamers have nowadays. Not to mention that this is long overdue and anticipated by all the undergrounders and even a few mainstreamers. Shit might not be their best material, but they're gonna get dope sales, just for the fact that all the collector's and underground heads want it because in 15-20 years when hip-hop is converted back to it's '90s roots, it'll be in high demand.

And as for Ghost's shit, it's gonna either be released earlier or get pushed back because of fan reaction or pressure from Wu-brothers or just because he know he won't sell when you put a Wu album up against a solo Ghost album. Shit will sell pretty decent, but won't go over Wu's overall sales because I know a lot of heads who are pissed, cause it seems as if Ghost is sellin' out, makin' songs with Beyonce, NeYo, Kanye, etc. Seems to be a little bit more mainstream oriented, underground cats ain't feelin' that. Personally, I'm coppin' Wu album instantly and I'll d/l BDR about a week after spinnin' 8 Diagrams a couple hundred times and see if Ghost's shit is worth the cop.

And finally, as far as Sai goes, well, he'll get some pretty solid sales, but nothing close to Wu or even Ghost's shit, first week and overall. But he will move units, that I'm sure of, with guests like Ye, HOV, Layzie Bone, Bun B, etc and production from Alche, Just Blaze and a bunch of other peeps, shit will get decent promotion and sell adequately. Personally, I can give a fuck. I ain't d/ling or copping, dude doesn't do much for me, but I know a lot of heads would disagree.

Anyways, that's my 2 cents.

Oh and Fishscale was solid (though, far from classic) and More Fish was meh.
