Yeah he's doing a whole series of these albums

Aceyalone went into the lab and began work on the first in a series of albums inspired by other genres of music (jazz, funk , and world music records are coming next). The result is a new sound that blends Aceyalone’s vocals with the up-tempo vibes of dancehall and the laid back grooves of reggae

Doesn't sound good. I'm glad I didn't buy it when I saw it at the store this week.

ahh c'mon, this shit wasn't that bad.. i actually thought it was pretty dope for the most part.. it's different, no doubt about that.. but have some fucking culture won't you? the negro spiritual hymn vibes are too much to handle for "undergroundheads"? i admit i was skeptical when i heard a few tracks but to the top, master, top choice, and help us all are dope as fuck and the lyrics were top notch pretty much all the way through.. better than magnificent city by a longshot. ace ripped this shit lyrically.

i mean, if you just dont like reggae.. thats one thing, but if you dont like it just cuz its different thats just weak.. some of the hooks couldve been better (shango, pose, & supercool being the obvious examples) and the production wasn't top notch all the way through, but it was good enough in my opinion for what they were trying to do and stellar at times.

i give it like a B or a B+.. i thought for what it was supposed to be, it was way above average
