News on 9th Wonder solo debut coming in October

When asked about the album, 9th Wonder had this to say about it: "this record means alot to me! The crazy thing is, the actualization of Dream Merchant is an idea that is six years old. My Uncle Fred has crazy records; he was an avid collector from his days in NYC back in the 70’s. Back in 1987, I went to visit him and my Aunt, they lived in the South Bronx (East 169th and Grand Concourse) and it was my first trip to NYC. I was only there for a week when the newspapers flashed “Scott La Rock killed” (crazy right). In 1991, my Uncle and Aunt moved to Winston Salem (North Carolina) and I was working in a UPS call-center in High Point (North Carolina) and made a crazy decision to quit my job and pursue music full-time. I went to visit my Uncle Fred afterwards, because I remembered all of those records he had when I was a kid. I went downstairs and the first record I pulled out of the crate was Jerry Butler’s “Dream Merchant.” I though the title was so fly, that I decided to do a compilation album with me doing all the beats and cats I knew that rhymed. I think more then anything; fate sparked my decision to do this all the way - just from that cover and that moment."

The album features guest appearances from Mos Def, Memphis Bleek, Little Brother, and Royce Da 5'9, among many others. We've got a preview track from the album as well. The carefree song is called "Sunday," and it features Keisha Shontelle & Chaundon. Download it below.

it's from Crooked I. It's a new movement thing he started in anticipation for his album that's been waaaay overdue.

I couldn't find a pic of the Premo shirt, but it's a grey shirt w/ a spin off of the Wendy's logo. If you're interested in a pic, just try a google search.

For the Westcoast shirt, I only found the Black/Orange (SF Giants) color but they also have a Green/Yellow (A's) and Blue/White (Dodgers) color schemes as well. And for my eastcoast cats, they have an Eastcoast shirt as well. Personally, the shirts are leaving A LOT of dope mc's that belong on the shirts but the design and concept of the shirt itself is pretty fuckin dope. Peep the pics.

those are dope. you got a link to a store or something online I could get it at? And I would personally prefer somewhere that doesn't sell it for fuckin 2x the price cuz it's online. But loving the concept... and of course, I'm copping me the Dodgers one.

hmmm... it seems like the store I copped my R-Mean mixtape from sells Manifest Clothing. I need to stop by there again some time. I noticed they had a dope variety of Hip-Hop stuff. While I'm there, I can cop me some albums too.

@ Shinobi .. how much were they selling the Premo shirt for? I got mine for $26. Knowing Haight, they probably had it for like $30+.

Their website sucks and isn't even updated. I wanted to check out what they have but don't have shit. The ony places I know that sell Manifest clothing are in SF, which is about 45 minutes away from where I live. A lot of online stores are limited with styles.

Check out UGHH.com. That's where I copped my Premo shirt but it's no longer available.
