I really apreciate complete booklets. Either is the text, the pictures or the concept, its always interesting to get a well made package, since you're already paying for the music. I kinda get mad when I open a CD (which I love to) and the inside is nothing more than 2 little pages.
For example, some nice books I can think of right now are... Rakim's The 18th Letter/Book Of Life Although the cover is kinda fucked up, the inside of that album is bananas. It has interesting street art and paintings, pictures and some segments of song lyrics, with hand written comments around them (which I like to think thats Ra's writings). or Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor Its basicly a picture 'documental'. Where they switch books for weapons and vice versa. Say you see little kids in the class room, studying with real big guns and shit. While you see gangsters in the street killing each other with books. That, among some other stuff. Really creative. or Albums like Jigga's Black Album and Beastie Boys' To The 5 Boroughs, where they don't just include pictures or artwork, they also put the complete song lyrics on the pages. I know that shit ain't hard to find on the net, but I think its a nice detail. or Maybe Some Root's material (i.e. Things Fall Apart) or Immortal Technique's Rev. Vol 2, where the artists do a track by track breakdown. They write about the meanings, what made them do the songs, or maybe explain some hard-to-catch facts. On the Roots' case, whats really interesting (since theyre a real band) is when they talk about the composers, how did the melodies came up, who played what, always witta good sense of humor brought to you by ?uestLove. Share Your Piece...

I def like the break down of all the tracks, like Tech did with Rev. Vol 2. I like knowing what type of thought went into the song and how much of what the artist says is true on the record.

The True Meaning by Cormega has a dope booklet, gives a shout to top 5 producer, Alchemist aka the white Preemo, too many people hate on him, so dope for Mega recognizing illness.
The 18th Letter, like the rest said. Quality by Kweli was dope imo as well. Tons of 'em, but those are the only ones I can think of off the dome.

Haven't gotten around to coppin' The 18th Letter and Things Fall Apart yet so I haven't seen the booklet (both dope albums though). I like the inlay for Hell On Earth by Mobb Deep. Word @ the Cormega album ILL mentioned.
