Jay has never been a CLASSIC artist in my opinion .. i dont know why, but his flow and rapping abilities to me are easily comparable to 50 .. except when he drops dope tracks like Beach Chair but most of the time he is comparable to 50 ..

as you can see from my detailed research, Jay did indeed have a time where he dropped THREE straight albums that were wack for his standards But he picked up his game and dropped 3 more great albums (blueprint, unplugged, black album)....not to mention that even his "wack" albums had flashes of brilliance on all of them.

Stillmatic, It Was Written and I Am are nowhere near classic. Stillmatic was dope and has the legendary "Ether" but is not anywhere near a classic album. It Was Written was solid, has some ill tracks, but not anywhere near classic, and right below Stillmatic's level. I Am was mediocre. Street's Disciple, Hip Hop Is Dead, and Nastradamus were all shit. And the albums you forgot to mention... God's Son was average at best and The Lost Tapes were dope as fuck, but not classic.

Jay on the other hand, made one classic, his debut. Everything else is average or mediocre at best, he's pretty skippable, but RD was classic. And for the record, Illmatic > Reasonable Doubt. Reasonable Doubt > Any other NaS album aside from Illmatic. Stillmatic, The Lost Tapes, It Was Written > Jay-Z's entire discography aside from Reasonable Doubt.

Stillmatic is overrated as fuck and not a classic, It Was Written is much closer to being classic, I Am was average, Lost Tapes were indeed dope as fuck, God's Son was good, SD was ok, and HHID is underrated

I was trying to hear a verse from Dead Presidents I, but on the version of the Reasonable Doubt album I own, theres only the part II...Why the fuck is this?...Wasn't the part II realesed on a later album?

Shit...I need Dead Presidents I...someone hit me witta link please...

Also....The cover of the version I got, has two dots on top of the Y...Why is this? I mean, is it different from the ones without the spots?

I don't think there is a Dead Presidents I, only a II. Same with Shook Ones. The only songs on RD that have a part I and II is Can I Live.

theres a bit of a misunderstanding .. what i meant by this is that since their dope debuts they couldnt carry on the same skill they had there on to the furture albums .. sure they had classic albums after their debut but it wasnt as comparable to the older albums .. their both in the same situation but Jay fell off alot harder .. but this is just my opinion so whatever
