What do you guys think are some of the greatest diss tracks of all-time? And if you really want to be specific, give your thoughts on the best of all-time.

Personally I think Ether and Acknowledge are 2 dope ass diss tracks. Probably not the best of all-time... but really enjoyable to listen too.

ps. post the person they were dissing too just in case some of us might not know who the track was directed to.

but promotin the beef then wonderin why hip hop got really dull over the last long while... it was somethin new and it sparked things up 10 or so years ago but c'mon.... you goin against what hip hop is when you beef with other hip hop artists

IMO, when Hip-Hop "beef" is done right, it portrays a whole new perspective of an MC that wasn't there before... or wasn't spawned because of certain circumstances.

For me, the best example is Common. Dude is as conscious, politically/socially driven as they get... but hearing him make a classic diss to a Westcoast Gangsta MC (whom is credited as a pioneer of the genre as well as a legendary MC) was shocking... at least to me. It kinda brings a new twist to the game... something entertaining I guess.
