Before ya'll jump into shit...I'm letting you know I own several Nas albums, such as Illmatic and It Was Written, and I think dude has some of the best songs ever put out.

But saying Hip Hop is Dead is just dumb bullshit...Isn't artists like Talib Kweli, JMT, Ghostface, etc, all puttin out albums still? And the albums are good. His album was not bad either, but maybe dude is expecting to sell a lot like he used to. I hate the south, but if dudes are selling let them live and don't pay them no mind...Don't get mad at them. Just ignore them and do your shit.

Dude can't just get mad and say that...If dude saying its dead, what the fuck is he puttin out, a Rock n Roll abum?

if you didn't notice... the whole album is trying to send the message that whoever says hip-hop is dead is the reason why hip-hop is dead. and you can't sit there and tell me that hip-hop isn't lacking what used to be it's foundation. I give Nas every right to say hip-hop is dead because he was one of the first ones to put out classic material that till this day is a key reference to a masterpiece album.

I mean, Nas does have the rights to say whatever he might, because his album catalog backs him up. But that does not stop from not feeling his movement.
I will keep listening to the album, but I would still disagree with part of the message.

Not so many...But that doesnt KILLS it...I don't think yall get the power of the word "Dead", it means non existent anymore, totally gone and with no or few chances of coming back.

Plus those elements are still alive no doubt...If its grade ain't as high as it was, thats another issue.
