![]() 1. Intro 2. The Hand That Leads You 3. The Man To Praise 4. Legendary Lyricist 5. Watch Your Step 6. Who With Me? 7. 2 Brothers From the Gutter 8. Ghetto Rhyme Stories 9. Throwback Rap Attack 10. No Time For Jokes 11. Last Of the Greats 12. BX (Interlude) 13. Put It On the Line 14. The Dirt And Filth 15. LA (Interlude) 16. Stand Up To This 17. Raw heat (45 Version) 18. The Lady Behind Me 19. Outro ………………………………................................. ..... ....................................... 1. Intro - Just a normal Intro, Beats cool but no rapping, just a bunch of samples of Percee’s name from the various records he’s done/been on. - N/A ………………………………................................. ..... ..................... 2. The Hand That Leads You - Madlibs beat is ill, the type of shit you would expect from Mad. Percee starts the album’s first true track off nice by attacking the beat. Classic Percee, his multi’s are amazing as usual, his subject matter is limited to boasting on this track but its still very ill. - 4/5 ………………………………................................. ..... ............................................ 3. The Man To Praise - Right when you hear Madlibs beats for this you already know what type of song its going to be, Percee runs through his whole career. Understandably he slows his flow down and doesn’t go all out with rhyme after rhyme, instead what we get is a very vivid story of Percee’s whole career. This is the prefect track for those who think P is a one dimensional artist, he can tell storys just as good as he can rip Multi’s. - 5/5 ………………………………................................. ..... ........................... 4. Legendary Lyricist ft Madlib - One of the weaker beats on the album, it loops every 2 bars, personally ive always found this annoying, I hate 2 bar loops. The beat switches up for the chorus where Madlib drops by for the hook. Percee does his thing for the most part, not much depth but still rhymes ill, more boasting and braggin. - 3/5 ………………………………................................. ..... ................................. 5. Watch Your Step ft Vinnie Paz & Guilty Simpson - Another beat that’s borderline average, not bad but not anywhere near Madlibs really “good” shit. Paz spits first, his verse isn’t bad but his flow just throws it off, the way he rides the beat and the section he ends his rhymes just throws his whole verse off, sounds like it was synced up wrong. Percee comes in with his typical shit, lots of rhymes with the non stop flow, he does his thing. Guilty is on the hook and does a good enough job, then finally he gets in on the last verse, he kills it, again showing why’s one of the most slept on artist in the underground right now. - 3/5 ………………………………................................. ..... .................................................. . 6. Who With Me? - this track has some heavy bass, shit will rattle some windows in the car, Percee kills his verse’s, nothing to complain about here…with the exception of the hook, like most underground cats Percee isn’t the best at crafting a hook, he should have stuck to having someone scratch and cut on his hooks. The track ends with a few seconds of a new Madlib beat, very dope. - 4/5 ………………………………................................. ..... ........................................ 7. Two Brothers From The Gutter feat. Diamond D - Very dope beat, Madlib pulls out the classic video game ‘Contra’ and flips it very well. Diamond D does his thing, he lacks the energy you would expect of someone on a track with Percee P, while his lyrics are on point his energy is non existent. Percee fairs slightly better, his flow is enough to hold the track up but apon deeper digging you find weak lyrics like “Heavy Metal, My chick is hot like a kettle Once its settled , with sells like crack peddled in the ghetto” It all flows very well as expected from P, but amateur lines like the “hot like a Kettle” are something this veteran mc needs no part of. - 3/5 ………………………………................................. ..... ................................ 8. Ghetto Rhyme Stories - Very dope beat, production is mos def back on track. Percee P is at his lyrical best, touching on real life subject, it’s a refreshing break from all of his boasting. Percee has a lot of talent for telling story’s and it really shows on this track. Album seems to be back on track, more tracks like this and we’re in business. - 5/5 ………………………………................................. ..... ....................................... 9. Throwback Rap Attack - By now most everyone has heard this track, Madlib laces Percee with a hard beat, shit is perfect for P’s flow. Its fast, high energy, and exactly the type of beats Percee needs to make his boasting work. After a few seconds of samples at the start of the track Percee jumps and and never looks back, he beast this track, ripping it apart like few mc’s could do’ “Girls are winkin, I leave em thinking/ Gotta rewind every line for my rhyme finally sinks in/ Im not in college but knowledge I do accommodate/ Since ima dominate ya’ll know who to nominate Very dope shit. - 5/5 ………………………………................................. ..... ............................ 10. No Time For Jokes ft Chali 2na - Another heater from Madlib, this has a very West coast feel to it (which makes since seeing as Madlib is West Coast). I was worried how Percee would sound over this but he crush’s the track. CHALI is decent enough, he holds his own, comes with his own style and has ill enough lyrics, he just doesn’t stand up next to P. - 4/5 ………………………………................................. ..... ........................... 11. Last Of the Greats ft Prince Po - Beat is another banger from Madlib, he seems to found a sweet spot for his production at this point. Prince Po hasn’t missed a step since his Organized Konfusion days, he’s the first cat on this album to actually give Percee a run for his money. Both mc’s rip their verses, I cant pick one over the other, good to see such dope mc’s just ripping verses back and forth. - 5/5 ………………………………................................. ..... ........................ 12. BX (Interlude) - As with Most Madlib albums he has some beat interludes, im not complaining though, they’re almost always dope and straight to the point, at 42 seconds it gives you enough time to catch your breath and relax your mind, after all, trying to process so much Percee P at once can be exhausting, breaks like this are very welcome. - 4/5 ………………………………................................. ..... ............................................. 13. Put It On the Line - Madlibs beats seem to be getting better and better at this point, this is one of my favorites on the album, it has a almost eerie sounds to it. Percee P doesn’t let down with another scorcher of a verse, the second verse only gets better. P and Madlib are killing it at this point. - 5/5 ………………………………................................. ..... ................................. 14. The Dirt And Filth ft Aesop Rock - Madlib laces this with a very dark, eerie beat, not unlike some of the beats on Aesops early albums. Aesop sounds almost menacing on this track, the way he vibes with the beat gives him a mic presence I don’t think ive ever heard from him. He also handles the hook which is very dope. Percee P comes on after Ace and trys his hardest to out rhyme him, what we get is 2 mc’s rhyming as hard as they can, in fact as is much the case with Aesop, they try to rhyme so much to the point that the rhymes become utterly head scratchingly Abstract. A few listens though to decipher the lyrics and you’ll come away with a very rewarding song. - 4/5 ………………………………................................. ..... ................................ 15. LA (Interlude) - Thank god, this is exactly what I needed after hearing Ace and P spit back to back, my brain hurts! Another ill Madlib beat clocking in at a short 32 seconds, perfect spot for a break from all the rhyming. - 4/5 ………………………………................................. ..... ............................... 16. Stand Up To This - Wow, Madlib did it on this one, he perfectly combined east coast underground with the hard bass of the West Coast, another Perfect beat for P. Percee go’s in and spits his classic double time flows, even speeding it up faster then that at certain points in the song. The hooks samples Nas, Jay-Z, ect. A very dope song. Not much substance to the lyrics but it’s still a banger. - 4/5 ………………………………................................. ..... .................................... 17. Raw heat (45 Version) - The beat alone is very dope, my only beef with it is that it sounds a little TOO abstract for Percee, Percee comes with lyrics we’ve already heard before but still dope. Everything on the track is good on its own merit but combined it doesn’t work as well as it should - 3/5 ………………………………................................. ..... ........................... 18. The Lady Behind Me - Very smooth Madlib beat, Percee is back on his story telling shit so you know its dope. Again he proves that he has a talent for painting pictures, not unlike Kool G Rap actually. Very ill track. - 5/5 ………………………………................................. ..... ............................ 19. Outro - And here we are at the end, just another Madlib beat to fade out the album and its curtain down. - N/A ………………………………................................. ..... ........................ Overall - Was this album everyting I expected it to be? To be honest, no it wasn’t, after some 20+ years in the game I think Percee had so much hype built for his album that no matter what he dropped it wasn’t going to live up to it. That being said this is still a very dope album, Percee hasn’t missed a step since he started rappin all those years ago. Its refreshing to hear artist keep it old school like he does, he is relentless in keeping his late 80’s/earl 90’s style of rap alive, mixed with Madlibs new aged production we get a best of both worlds type of deal. The best of the old schools lyrics and flows mixed with the best production the new school has to offer. Very ill album and def worth the wait. - 4/5

No way. L's style and 'Ness's style are similar but different. L is way more hard and street oriented while 'Ness is more playa-ish, more suave, and well, finesse. Styles are totally different, new jacks get that shit confused, but it ain't the same.

lol....I know monchy is your fav rapper...but this is why i dont like him...i dont like his flow or how he kinda sings sometimes....and vakills flow is similar but flipped somwut...vakills flow is off beat cuz of his stretched ass lines which make most of his dope punches......and Monch's rhymes bore me at times....because he wont always use multies..its not as a huge deal with him cuz he uses wordplay and punches....I also hate a lot of his beat selection...especially on desire...i thought i was listenin to a gospel album at times....I just dont like him...and i also think Vakill>monch easily...ive heard people say he's so dope n shit..top 10 ever...and hearing that i've listened to all his albums and his organize konfusion shit trying to like..but i cant

Ill summed it up, vakill is dope, but Monch is classic.
3 classic Organized Konfusion albums and 2 classic/near classic solo albums, greatest flow of all time, concept song king (only mc fucking with Monch on concepts is Nas), whatever though, everyone is going to have their own opinion. Vakill is ill as fuck, one of my favorites, still I could never see him writing a verse with rhyme patterns like this Cleverly beginnin em with synonyms when I went in with homynyms Extended em out, defendin em with linear raps when enbalmin em Bendin em back, blendin em with miraculous type Fuck is up? Y'all niggaz do like Dracula's bite Uhh, don't even bother gotta lotta cats who swallow for dollar raps scholar holla back like a Rawk' wilder Me get ya hit ya split ya open sit you down Get you in the ring, sling slang boxing rounds withcha Snap your bone gristle, Crystal motel Queens missle pistol-whip you army issue shouldn't fuck witchu Or get niggaz like Yusef, you're useless Attack back, smack your whole team toothless Now welcome to the New York Knicks where Averex are the jerseys and the boots are the kicks Y'all on the dick the way we pose for the flicks Queens style, Redhook now all in the mix
