Hey wassup forum.. I've been checkin here now and then, but haven't really considered posting again until now. It won't mean I'll be here indefinitely or something. However, I've been listening to some other music genres the last year and a half or so and after that I've just started listening to Hip-Hop again (or more of it). I've discovered 2008 was a pretty fucking good year for Hip-Hop, so naturally I wanted to discuss it with some people genuinely interested in it. I can't help that I have shitty friends in real life. This place seems pretty dead though. Is the movement dead too? Personally, I've given up on converting people..shit is just tiring. My friend is a Lil' Wayne fan..at first I was trying to convince him Lil' Wayne is a moron, but now when he puts on some of his music I'm like..'yeah...right...dope shit dude'.

@ me for being tired with the movement. I'm enjoying myself though, how are yall doin?

yeah, i guess the movement is pretty much dead now. just like u, i got tired of spreading the twelve jewels. i start to think: what's the point of converting a motherfucker? it won't do me any good in real life.. kinda like i'm trying to please only myself.. so i just listen to dope shit, discuss some of it here and see what my good peeps think, etc..

and 2008 has been real good..

@ Grandmaster & Nok. Errm...both wrong! :P 2007 wasn't a bad year I guess, but not as much dope albums as this year anyway. I could make a list, but then I trust upon you that you're already convinced by the simple fact that I said it.

Damn, I'm fucked up today. I partied hard last night and drank so many beers I cannot even remember what I did from about 3 to 8...only small parts of it (free beer btw for a couple of hours). I sang, danced, stumbled, fell, laughed, tried to hook up with a barchick by claiming that I 'would treat her like a lady'( hahaha, I'm such an old fuck), started a fight (in hindsight) for no apparent reason, then drank some more until I got home half past eight in the morning. I walked home with a chick and I thought I had a good chance to bone, but I was so drunk I apparently misheard her (turns out she in fact did invite me to her house, which is fucked up to know). A much more shocking revelation: she turns out to be a mom! Apparently she has a kid. Technically, I was then making out with a MILF? My life has changed forever.

That was just something I wanted to share. Great night anyway. I know its saturday night but fuck it im going to bed.

Yeah, you've got a lot of good points there. I've done some searching and I guess I came to the conclusion that perhaps 2007 and 2008 were both good years and there a little differences overall. I've made a screenshot of the albums I have on my pc from 2008 (all bought of course

I would say Vast Aire's was a let down but I think we stopped expecting great things from him a looooong time ago. and you might as well check that JMT album INS, the beats are dope in a dusty, record digging type of way
