so aside from a few undergrounders here, I was just wondering if any of you guys spit or write any lyrics. I personally have written a lot, and even though I slowed down a bit now, I still write from time to time whenever I feel like it. Nothing serious.... just spittin' whatever's at the top of my dome.

So if anyone writes or w/e, just spit anything you feel like here and we'll compose a thread full of some dope verses (perhaps)

I'll start off with something I just wrote

hip-hop is therapeutic but it's meaning is now becoming absurd
so I tighten my lyrics around ya neck so you can hang on every word//
you can feel the stroke of my pen, or the stroke of my keys
I can even stroke MCs till they end up with dislocated knees//
this feeling is magic, so I packed a can of pixie dust
sprinkle on your ashes and let your lust turn to rust//
your skills remind me of your 'belt', here's something you need to face
cuz you still need 'support' holding up your own 'waste'. [waist]//
you ain't skilled just cuz you got thru one battle 'ahead-of-ya'
that's like applauding a blind man overcoming dyslexia//

Daaaamn. Somebody's been listenin' to Soul On Ice

I've been tryna write as often as I possibly can. I'm currently workin' on a hot 16 for a god-like beat my boy produced. I've been workin' on it for over 2 months now and only have 6 bars that I think are good enough for this track. The track is (tentatively) titled "The Warriors." My verse revolves around self-acceptance, life's trials and tribulations and in a sense finding the "warrior" within to overcome whatever stands between me and my dreams. This shit is gonna be epic.

I don't have any shit that I think is worth posting right now. But what the hell. Here's a few lines I just wrote down (which I'll probably end up scrappin).

"My scheme to get mainstream into backpacker music
That's why my shit's doped up like it's under the influence
Injectin' life into the pad and neglectin' imperfection
My recollections, my regrets, my introspection"
