Shattered Glass Photoshop Tutorial

This tutorial aims to give a simple way of adding a shattered glass effect to an image.

STEP 1: Choose the Polygonal lasso tool from the tool panel.

STEP 2: Outline the desired glass shape.

STEP 3: Select the gradient tool from the tool panel.

STEP 4: Select the Gray Value Stripes from Special Effect Gradients, and select the desired opacity %.

STEP 5: Apply the Gradient fill to the selected area.

STEP 6: Use the lasso tool to give a thickness to the glass from one side. If a further transparency is desired, it can be changed from the layers controller fill %.

Make different shapes and sizes of glass in different parts of the image in order to get a shattered glass scene.
