CTG's *BASIC* Tooned Affect tut

first off start by opening your render
after you have done this go to
layer>new adjustment layer>gradient map
select a black and white one just so it looks desaturated not all inverted....if its all inverted and shit press reverse then hit ok....
changed this layer to OVERLAY..
then mess with the opacity to make the image have more depth but not to light or dark
then merge these layers together.
next on your render layer hit filter>blur>smart blur
i cant give u a guideline because it depends on your image so just pic a number not to over the top or to less...make sure its on quality low
after this zoom in alot on the render....
see how its got little choppy blocks of color
get your blur tool....dependin on how steady you hand is and how patient you are is the what the strength should be...i chose 60 and it works fine.....so blur away the lil choppy bits so its nice and smooth
eventually your render should look pretty tooned already (note: be careful around the nose)
next what i do is grab the burn tool and get a brush of 65 pixels (one of the ones that fades at the edges)
put the exposure at 20 and start burning the shadows
i do the same next with the dodge tool but only on the highlited parts from the light
after all this i then changed the hue and saturation a bit....

this is just a basic tut....no big tooning its just for a nice lil effact that works nicely for me !
