I think all these NBA players are over paid, that's why the NBA isn't the same as it was years back.

Rondo is improving year by year, I don't think he's worth that much though.

how many yrs back? Jordan signed a 30m ONE yr contract with Chi in 96-97. There ain't nobody touching more than 21m in NBA nowadays (cept Garnett @ 24m)

basketball season = 8-9 motnhs long, game everyday or everyother day, average 30-40mpg, running up and down court ever <30 seconds, constant movement. Contracts stronghold players + teams, can't be cut. Only pay 15 players (really only 10-12) a average of 5m per player per season

football season - 16-19 weeks long, game once a week, short 5-10 second burst every 30-40 seconds. Retire young (avg 30-32) game does a toll on their body. Can get cut at anytime so must stay in top form. Pay 53 players on a team a average of 1m per player per season

baseball - 6-7 months, many games however 95% of the game is sittin on their ass eating peanuts, chewing or hands on knees out in right field not seeing a ball hit to them in 5 innings. Least of the athletic compared to the three, lay around and juice to retain muscle during offseason. I'm suprised their aren't players that light up marlbs during games, pay 25 players an average of 4m per player per season.

What are you basing overpaid on? Dedication? Time? Will? Athletisism? It depends

basieball is the most overpaid hands down

Football and Basketball can be debated, but football bangs a huge tole on your body in the long run

I'd say FB is the least to pay per player, but teams have too many players period. That's just the game.

Look at how many NBA players could of played in the NFL and understand why they didn't go to the NFL, money and health

Jordan was worth the money.
These players today, aren't worth being paid that much.
Their gettin paid ridiculous amount of money and most of them will never win a championship for their team. For example, look at a player such as Stephon Marbury who is over paid out the ass but will never win a ring for his team. He asks for big bucks but can't contribute on the court to be worth that much. He's a good street ball player no doubt, but as far as playing NBA ball - he sucks.

My opinion, football players should get pay checks like NBA players when you look at the pain and punishment they put their bodys through. Basketball is a way easier sport to play than football, hands down.

I think it's a bit 2 much 4 a guy many within the organization don't even agree is a leader or a good enough PG.
Many don't like the way Rondo acts and plays out there on the coaching staff.

He's a good player - but with the way the NBA economy is going u probably want to invest in more sure things for that kind of money. Next summer 55 million could get you a perennial all-star.

Boston won't have any money to spend next offseason even with Ray Allen coming off the books. KG and Pierce pretty much take up half of their cap space at least.
