Quarterback Michael Vick has signed a two-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, his agent, Joel Segal, confirmed to ESPN.com.

Vick was the No. 1 draft pick in 2001, and once the highest-paid player in football. But he has not played since 2006 when his career came tumbling down. He was convicted in August 2007 of conspiracy and running a dogfighting operation, sentenced to 23 months in federal prison and suspended indefinitely by the NFL.

But after serving his time and being released from home confinement July 20, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell conditionally lifted Vick's suspension, allowing him to sign with a team.

Eagles have a pretty explosive offense already without him

I have alot of feeling this will turn out like the Marbury situation last in Boston, tons and tons of hype building to his return, comes back half assed, flame dies out people forget he's even on the team. Eagles get deep but don't win it all and Vick is barely used the entire time

^^^^^^not true at all, learn the facts, Goodell will reevaluate Vick's status prior to Week 6, so that means he could possibly play earlier, here lemme help you out

"This is a step-by-step process that goes up to Week 6; it is not a six-game suspension by any means," Ray Anderson, the league’s executive vice president of football operations, told NFL.com's Thomas George. "If all goes well, he could be playing anytime from Week 1 forward. Roger listened to ownership, NFL employees, friends, relatives, players, counselors, people from animal rights groups. In his typical fashion, he sought input and listened to all before acting."

^^^ damn calm down buddy.. he gonna wait till around week 6 to make a decision..just like when pacman jones was conditionally reinstated..he could not play in regular season games until week 6... but i can care less when he plays..even if he could play he aint gonna get many chances unless mcnabb gets hurt

everybody knew marbury wasn't goin to be more than a role player when he went to the celtics. but when he went to the knicks that's when everyone was goin crazy. It worked for a lil while too

Vick can only run. Has no arm whatsoever.

Vick has a cannon he just can't locate it well. He may be overrated as a qb but i think as a flash type player with Philly, to put with Jackson, Macklin, and Westbrook. May be the best offense McNabb has had.
