Jay-Z is coming out of retirement. He has only been away for three years, in a self-imposed abstinence from recording, but with the imminent release of his new album, ``Kingdom Come," you can expect him to exploit to its fullest the potent symbolism of the comeback: the sullen and entourage-flanked grandeur of the heavyweight champion reclaiming his title, the roar of the mob as the rightful monarch returns. Powers will be re-assumed, pretenders flattened, and so on.

The new album, Kingdom Come sees him collaborate with big names like Kanye West, Dr Dre and Timbaland. He even managed to entice Coldplay's Chris Martin to produce one of the tracks. It is thought the album is due out some time before the end of the year
