Obie Trice's Week 1 Album Sales

Obie Trice's second album SECOND ROUND'S ON ME barely made it into the top 10 . The album came in at #7 and sold 77,000 copies.

His first album was released in 2003, came in at #1, and sold 226,000 in its first week, selling 900,000 total in the U.S.

The current singles are "Cry Now" and "Jamaican Girl"

that really sucks, such a great album, best of the year so far, T.I.King was a good album but it got tons of buzz from his movie comming out wit the Single, But this obie cd's better then KING and didnt sell 500,00 copies like KING probably cuz of no BUZZ gettin created like it shoulda

Thats fucking rediculous ... the cd is fire. I mean Rick Ross sold more than Obie in his first week and his CD was garbage. It just goes to show now days if you ain't snappin, trappin, or shoulder leaning... you ain't selling shit. Interscope hasn't figured out that when a cd leaks a month before it comes out it ain't gonna sell. It's been proveing especially with G-Unit (Tony Yayo & Mobb Deep). The only people that has bumped up there albums because of being leaked is Eminem and 50 Cent. The same thing is gonna happen to Lloyd Banks ... I hope not but I will not be shocked if it doesn't. Nobody appreciates good music anymore.

I think it is because eminem does not know how to market anything. he really kinda left obie out to dry. and yes also the pushbacks and leaks. but most of all eminem sucks at promoting his artists. look at what happened when he had that 2pac project, loyal to the game. it was 2pacs worst selling cd to date. even 50 said it in an interview that 2pac last cd had no promotion and no marketing and that he wants to have 2pac last cd for production. also overall hip hop is dead. don't complain about leaks, yes leaks hurt but look at rock artist like tool and red hot chilli peppers they went plat in a month and are going 2x plat. hip hop needs to step its game up and stop making songs about snappin your fingaz and shaking your laffy taffy. real talk
