Dr. Dre Associate Announces Upcoming G-Unit Projects

Aftermath Records artist Bishop Lamont recently discussed his relationship with 50 Cent and G-Unit revealing plans for each member to drop upcoming solo projects.

Lamont detailed his relationship with Fif and the rest of his crew.

"I was doing some records with 50 Cent," he said in an interview. "I'm good friends with DJ Whoo Kid, and 50, [Tony] Yayo and [Lloyd] Banks are like my big brothers. So we set something up and they always show me love. I was trying to plug myself correctly in New York, because I rarely have the opportunity to get out there. 50 and Whoo Kid always give me the best advice on the industry. We have to put Detox out first and we're finishing it now. Eminem's going to drop soon, then 50, then Detox, then me and Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks. Smash after smash. You're always dealing with the politics of the labels, but it's a million times better now. There's a lot more communication." (Los Angeles Times)

The rapper is currently working on a forthcoming solo project.

Bishop Lamont has been hard at work lately. He's been in the studio night and day recording music in preparation for an explosive 2009 for Aftermath Records. "Grow Up" is the first official single from The Reformation, the first studio album by Bishop Lamont. The song is produced by Dr. Dre. (Aftermath Music)

Bishop previously said his Aftermath debut has been delayed due to Internet song leaks.

"Eminem is supposed to be finished now," Lamont said in a recent interview. "I spoke to Fif, he said he's almost done, now it's trying to get Detox straight. Every time records get leaked, it pushes [The Reformation] back...Dude is not gonna drop until his sh-- is straight. That pushes me back." (Rap Search)

The rapper has been an Aftermath artist for nearly four years.

Dr. Dre met Lamont while on set filming The Game's music video for "Dreams". After giving him praises on an L.A. radio station, Dr. Dre signed Martin in 2005. Martin was featured in The Source's Unsigned Hype section, but he was already signed to Aftermath by the time the issue hit stands. (Rap Artists)

Banks new cd should be fire, still not sure about Yayo's voice it is better but i hope 50 helps him out with some production and hooks.
