T.I. Talks Dr. Dre Collaboration, "It's Going To Be One For The Record Book"

The leak of a new Dr. Dre song featuring T.I. has sparked speculation about the King of the South's involvement in Dre's upcoming Detox project.

T.I. refused to confirm his appearance on the highly anticipated album.

"All I can say is look forward to it. You never know who you might hear collaborating together or what you might be able to expect from that project. I'm just telling you to look forward to it. It's going to be one for the record book. He ain't lost a step." (SOHH)

A radio rip of Dr. Dre's "Topless," featuring Tip and Nas began circulating on the internet last week.

Another possible track off Dr. Dre's ultra-anticipated Detox hit the radio yesterday as "Topless," featuring T.I. and Nas, leaked out. DJ Envy on NY hip-hop station Hot97 was the first to play the track. T.I. reportedly spent time in the studio with Dre during Grammy weekend, so this might be one of the songs from that collaboration. (Rolling Stone)

T.I. has been recording a follow up to his 2008 LP, Paper Trail, but his impending prison sentence has him debating its release.

"I got material recorded. I just don't know if I want to put an album out while I'm not here physically to support it. I just don't want to put an album together of something that I hold near and dear to my heart and just let it be thrown out there without any kind of marketing support and what not. That's the question. That's what I'm trying to figure out." (SOHH)

MTV is currently documenting the rapper's final days in a series called, "T.I.'s Road to Redemption."

The inspirational docu-series follows T.I. as he counts down the days to his impending March 2009 sentencing for weapons charges. "T.I.'s Road To Redemption: 45 Days To Go" will not only show T.I. as he attempts to help change the lives of desperate teenagers across the country, but will also offer a behind-the-scenes peek at the most private and personal moments of one of today's hottest most sought-after artists on the verge of leaving his glittering career for time behind bars.
