Dr. Dre Allegedly Stiffed By Book Author, Files Lawsuit
Dr. Dre wants his money back. The legendary producer filed a lawsuit in L.A. Superior Court accusing book author Bruce Williams of stiffing him out of $101, 377.85, according to TMZ.
Williams penned Rollin’ With Dre:The Unauthorized Account: An Insider’s Tale of the Rise, Fall, and Rebirth of West Coast Hip Hop, a book following the trials and tribulations of Dre and other West Coast figures faces before bringing the region to prominence. According to the suit, the author allegedly borrowed the money, released the book last March, but has yet to repay Dre’s loan. In related news, Dre’s long-awaited Detox is expected to hit shelves by year’s end. Though a date has yet to be announced, the LP is set to join Eminem’s Relapse and 50 Cent’s Before I Self Destruct as part of a huge fourth quarter push for the Shady/Aftermath crew. http://www.xxlmag.com/online/?p=28513 |
