Price/availability: £99,575 manual, £104,665 with R tronic sequential shift. Available to order now for delivery next spring.

Engine/transmission: 5,204cc, 90-degree V10 petrol with twin camshafts per bank, four valves per cylinder and variable cam timing; 518bhp at 8,000rpm and 391lb ft of torque at 6,500rpm. Six-speed manual or R tronic robotised six-speed manual with sequential shifting, rear-wheel drive.

So Big Tymers, Juelz Santana, The Game, Young Jeezy, Cam'Ron, Lloyd Banks, T.I., B.G. too name a few are all american hill billy's because they drive a vett? Now put the ZR1 up against the R8 10 cylinder and that german piece of shit lost again. Corvettes have excellent handling for around corners not like awd does but that takes all the fun out of a car anyways. Besides when you are doing 150mph+ how many sharp corners are you really breaking into the Vette will smoke the R8 on acceleration and that's what matters the most. Your more of a car lover if you drive a Corvette. The Corvette has 56 Years in it's heritage and has been around every year since 1953. What does the R8 have it just popped up last year?

at the end of the day, a 6.2l>4.2. Shit, My fucking 94 ranger has a 4.0l in it, that motor isn't pushing anything off by itself, the 6.2 is a big fucking engine, my dads 09 challenger only has a 5.7 in it... aint nothin besides maybe a viper which are the v10's that would be bigger.... and bigge IS always better, if I fucking lose to you in a quarter mile, And I'm bigger, I'mma run your ass over, So I win by default.

engine gives you power, but if a road has many turned and shit, it wount help u alot if u racing with a car like r8. I think corvette's only chance is straight road

americans...size isnt everything, you can have a 16 litre engine i couldn't care, becauase its power to weight that matters....end of the day....600bhp in a car weighing 6 tonne is 100bhp per tonne, but 180bhp in a car weight 1 tonne is 180 bhp per tonne...meaning that car is likely to be faster.

When was the last street race you were in where there were sharp turns though? usually it is off the light or on a freeway

So how many people are going to be racing their R8 at a track? on a freeway it is done. You can even do a decent burnout with the R8. And how is the Corvette unsophisticated? It is a fuckin car not wine. Audi's V10 is the same size as a lawn mower engine. Have you ever worked on an Audi? They are horrible, nothing is where you want it, you almost have to unbolt the engine from the frame just to get at what you want.
