08/30/07 - 50 Cent - Curtis Album Review

After a classic first and a comercial second album did 50 pull it off this time? This is a review of his third album "Curtis."

1. Intro - Simple album based intro relevant to the life of 50.

2. My Gun Go Off - Heavy E bass guitar and climaxing violins laced with stain pianos. 50 explains going through life in the streets as it would be through his eyes.

3. Man Down - A beat with pianos mocking the pity of the songs basis. Coming through with high ohrchestrated violins. Another song about 50 being in the streets with a cathcy gun down hook.

4. Ill Still Kill - Distorted Organs over heavy 808's 50s flow beigins to become more lyricall then the begining. Akon shines for his spot comming through with a hook giving the song a touch like he usually does.

5. I Get Money - Low Tempo Violoins over crafted caribian snares. 50 gets cocky over his first money song to come on the album with a commercial flow "I was Young I couldnt to good, Now i cant to bad."

6. Come & Go - Horror flick viola attemped with a surpise appearance from Dr. Dre. Heavy Drop grand pianos hold the beat together. With 50 following the beat rather vise versa it could be a better attempt for "In Da Club Pt. 2"

7. Ayo Technology - Yes we all know this song with timbalands futuristic guitar and justins hook. Nice!

8. Follow My Lead - Laid back pianos and xylophones make this nicly flowing with Robin Thike on the hook. 50 comes through with an enjoyable flow " i call a square a square, and a circle a circle." for the ladies its a nice track.

9. Moving On Up - Deep classic hip-hop sound as 50 increases his lyrical abilitys with a beat that piles from basic to more advanced

10. Straight to the Bank - Ha Hahaha Ha still enjoyable song thanks dre

11. Amusment Park - Second single hated on however clever flutes sorrounded by organs and an ending bahama drums make it a catchy beat by LLC but 50 comes too comercial lyricaly.

12. Fully Loaded Clip - Havoc on the beat 50 comes good on the song cause instruments dont offer much but a freestly opurtunity couldve been left on mixtapes.

13. Peep Show - Racy drums make it appealing with a nice flow "you got a man ill keep it on the low, i do my thing you know i risk my dough, i got a few stack you know we can blow." Eminem comes through on both sides of this track.

14. Fire - Swizzy coming hard with metal quitars altered more pop based with buck and nicole sherzinger still enjoyable and hard at the same time.

15. All of Me - up tempo trumpets with sax's revolving very enjoyable with mary j. on the hook 50 explains his past and self. Better track though

16. Curtis 187 - Gutter song seems from G-units nick speed with the sloping base 50 takes us back to get rich on this one much needed however through what the album started of at.

17. Touch the Sky - Subclosing pianos everywere tubas yayo ruins the track as he explains what has become of him with a classic flow claiming "i run this rap" and shouts out to biggie and pac.

18. Smile Im leaving - last words by 50 explain a difficult twist as low tempo violins explain the game without 50 seeming as if this was his last record

Overall with an attempt to match between get rich or die tryin and massacre 50 falls short off classic with a comercial like cd good yet questioning what his closing CD Before I Self Distruct will be....

You need to read ur shit again man. That Fire track is the most horrible song ive heard in a while, i rather listen to that ay bay bay shit than that fire joint, i was half cringing when i listened to that shit. Anyways I Still Kill is the hardest joint in the album in my opinion, fucking smash.
