"How Do I Say This, Im Living For My Son, But I Cant Figure Out Why Im At My Temple With This Gun, Wake Up To A Jesus Piece Like A Catholic Nun, The War To Be A Rap Legend Has Just Begun"

4. Hate It Or Love It (Featuring 50 Cent) (Produced By Cool & Dre)-
Second Apperance For 50 Cent On The Album, And He Makes A Huge Impact On This Track. And Yet Another Big Named Produced.. And It's A Great Beat. This Song Is Probably The Best Track Off The Album, And Is A Classic Song In Hip-Hop In General. 50's first verse is probably the deepest you've ever heard 50 spit.. and its great. Game comes with his first verse, (second on the song).. And he has the westcoast type verse, hard verse and isnt as deep at 50, but still good. "Told Banks [Lloyd Banks] When I Met Him, Imma Ride, And If I Gotta Die, Rather Homicide, I Aint Have 50 Cent When My Grand Mama Died, Now Im Going Back To Cali, With My Jacobs On, See How Time Fly"... See How Things Change... You Just Wish 50 & Game Would Come Back Together to make great music like this again..

The Doc's Second Produced Song On Here.. Fire Beat.. Game On A Track By Himself On A Dr. Dre Track (Only on the album.. I think ever).. And he delivers good verses, nothing great... but good verses... Great chorus... Game delivers a good song, but has Dre to help... "...I'd do anything, but I wont fuck Mariah [Carey].. Even if she had Ashanti butt naked in bed, cause she got a forehead just like Tyra [Banks], I can say what the fuck I want, you thought Dre retired left me a 64 in his dayton wires, these niggaz is a waste of rhyming, yo Doc [Dr. Dre] got somethin to say.. be queit.. *Dr. Dre*... Look Out For Detox"..

Back to back Dr. Dre Tracks... And 50 Is back for his THIRD and last track on the album... This was the lead off single, and did great, and cant blame it.. this is a great club banger.. Dre has an OUTSTANDING beat... and 50 & Game come hard on there verses (50 on the hook).. This is an instant winner.. you wish more rappers had singles like this.. "I put gold daytona's on that cherry 64, white wall so clean look like im ridin on ?vox?, and with 1 switch mayn, that ass so low, cali got New York niggas ridin on 100 spoax"

7. Dont Need Your Love (Featuring Faith Evans) (Produced By Havoc)
This IMO, is the best song on the album, and probably one of Games greatest track.. Havoc provides top (or 2nd) best beat on the album, deep joint.. and Faith Evans does a good chorus... and Game spits about REAL SHIT... This is a "CLASSIC" track.. "I Was Gased Up, Murder Inc., Rocafella Passed Up, Sat In Daddy's [Puff] House With Lil Rob, And Asked Puff [Diddy]" "So I Roam Through The City, Like The Ghost Of E [EAZY E], Gotta Put Compton Back Where It's Suppose To Be" "So This Song Is For Ms. Wallace [Biggies Mom], Afeni Shakur [2Pac's mom], And All Mother's of Dead Son's that went out in the War"

8. Church For Thugs (Produced By. Just Blaze)-
This Is A 100 Percent Westcoast Track... The Beat Songs like some old NWA shit... and Game spits good verses, plan and simple.. he know's how to spit... but this is a hard joint.. at first I wasnt feeling it, but now im lovin' it.. good joint......but now the thing is this song is one of 50's song that he supposivly wrote.. here's the chorus "Now lately, niggas keep saying they gon heat me up, talking all that shit like they gon lay me down, but when I come through scrapped to see Whats up, niggaz dont want no problems with me now..."... And to be honest, it sounds like 50 wrote it...

9. Put You On The Game (Produced By Timbaland)-
Production by Timbo... and the beat is fucking fire.... Game spits good verses, nothing great but there good... but the beat is killer.... "My Unit is guerilla, fuck with my life or milli, I will kill ya.. G-Unit.. You know that boy and im fimilair but you got to feel him if The Doc [Dr. Dre] sealed him"

Half way through the album (what am I thinking)-
Im thinking, Game can spit... but on EVERY SONG he has had Big Named Featured, or Big Named Producers, what I wanna see if he can do it on his own... a track with no big name producer or no big name feature... he'll get it in a minute...

10. Start From Scratch (Featuring Marsha A.) (Produced By Dr. Dre)-
Another Dre Joint, and this joint is fire... deep joint, Game sounds drunk in the first 2 verses, the third he sounds sober though... but Game spits from the heart and this is 1 of the best joints off the album...

11. The Documentary-
The first, and only song Game is completely alone, no big name artists... and no big name producer... and ill tell you, he delivers.. he comes with intresting verses that kept you focused on what he was saying... Game comes hard on this... and GREATT chorus.. very creative..

12.- Runnin' (Featuring Tony Yayo) (Produced By Hi-Tek)-
Back again with features and producers, but hey who cares.. right? The song is suppose to be talking about how there trying to run from death incidents... the song is good, Game & Yayo spit great verse/s... Hi-Tek provides a more relaxed mello song... Good joint "And It was two months since the day I start rhyming, and I took my Demo to Suge [Knight], and he aint sign me"

13. No More Fun & Games (Produced By Just Blaze)-
Second Blaze Appearance, this joint is good.... Game just fucking spits raw shit.. Chorus is nothing special.. but Games verses make up for it.... More Westcoast type rap....

14. We Aint (Featuring Eminem) (Produced By Eminem)-
......Just the feature and the production tells you house this song is.... Eminem killed Game on his own shit... seriously.... but Game spits two good verses... but Em.... Holy shit.... GREAT SONG....

15. Where Im From (Featuring Nate Dogg)-
No big named producer, but Nate on this.... and everyone know's that Nate can turn a decent song into a great/good song... and that's what he "helps" do on this shit.... Game spits good verses, again another westcoast type track.. the beat is tight, songs like Dre did it (but didnt).... good all around track..

16. Special (Featuring Nate Dogg)-
Nate on again, back to back... this joint is for the lady's... and Game has more hard verses for a girl song.... but it's still dope... Dre is in the beginning of the track, talking with Game.... Game's verses are basically talking about, clothes, sex, cheating, dre (lmao), and that's about it....

17. Dont Worry (Featuring Mary J. Blige) (Produced By Dr. Dre)-
Mary On The Track.. With a "verse" and on the chorus.. Mary on this track alot... more than Game, but Game has a couple verses... this track is from the aspect of Game in jail, while Mary is back home holdin' down the house.. there a couple.. or w/e.... Produced by Dre... last Dre beat.... this is a great song.. good joint

18. Like Father, Like Son (Featuring Busta Rhymes)-
This is a song that Game writes to his song, in his 3 verses he basically talks about his son's birth, witnessing his son's birth, and the usual Gangbanging shit.... Busta only on the hook..

Final Thoughts- Great Album, Point blank.... Great production, great featured artist... but the only thing is that Game had everybody help him with this... he only had 1 track where he was alone on the album...


THE DOCTOR'S ADVOCATE

1. Lookin' At You-
And You Can tell instantly with the lost of 50 & Dre on this album that Game is going to attempt to do it by himself, -verse from Documentary where he was loaded with talent around him...
Now this song is a hard beat, Game is doing a Dr. Dre voice... which IMO is fuckin' wack... and it kinda ruins the song... I bought Doctor's Advocate to hear Game, not a Dre Sound Alike... but thats what you get on this track.. plus bad lyrics"Finished my second LP without a Dr. Dre track, you can take my soul but cant take my plaques"..

GRADE: 2.5/ 5

2. Da Shit (Produced By DJ Khalil)-
A more westcoast type joint, the beat is a hard beat (no homo) the Chorus IMO is annoying and dumb.. Game again sounds like Dr. Dre... and which I hate... he basically talks about Cali, Chronic, Cars, Hoes, you know? But at the end explains/talks his departure with Aftermath sayin, "Imma just say it like this, one day I walked in the mutha fuckin house, And all my shit was gone"

3. It's Okay/One Blood-
I dont take Junior Reid as a feature, the beat again is hard, and Game finally kills it with his verses.. the only bad part of this song is Junior screaming "One Blood" the whole time... but Game def. kills it... "The 'math Gon Drop Him, And 50 Aint Rockin' With Him No More, It's Okay.. I Get It Poppin' "...

GRADE: 4/5

4. Compton (Featuring will.i.am) (Produced By will.i.am)-
This is a true westcoast song, im loving it... The chorus is great but get's a lil annoying with Will keep saying "Gangsta Boogie" too much... Game verses are too simple, and the usual talk... but he talks about Compton, so its all good..

5. Remedy (Produced By Just Blaze)-
Another westcoast type record... but unlike "No More Fun & Game" or "Church For Thugs".. Game doesnt have that crazy energy... and it kinda is a let down with another Big Name Producer beat...

6. Let's Ride (Produced By Scott Storch)-
First Game song under Scott Storch, and it's pretty hot, but YET AGAIN GAME SOUNDS LIKE DRE... and it just get's you pissed off thinking "what is he doing"... and this song is too basic, its just another "Remedy" or "Compton" or "Da Shit" or "Lookin at You"..... its another let down...

7. Too Much (Featuring Nate Dogg) (Produced By Scott Storch)-
This is a good one.... Great Scott Storch beat (back to back)... and Nate coming back to be on the second album returning from Documentary... and there is no direction for this record, it should of been the leading single of the album... Game actually get's back on track and has some pretty good verses.. but has a weird ALMOST DRE accent, but not exactly like the others... so it'll pass.. "Put the head on the barrel, dare a nigga too shoot me, im gangsta, took more shots than tookie, imma alive so imma take a protron shot for tookie, roll a california blunt and keep watchin a movie"

8. Wouldnt Get Far (Featuring Kanye West) (Produced By Kanye West)-
Mr. West is also back, but this time spitting on the album.... I like the the beat but its fucking annoying hearing "AHHH, AH, AH, AHHH" in the backround... but Game spits two good verses talking about video vixen's, and Kanye between Game's 2 verses spit's about talking about how crazy Game is for spitting like this... or something....

GRADE: 4/5

Half way through the album (what I think)-
Im thinking that Game is showing the world that he cant do it without 50 & Dre.. and that he better step up for the second half.. besides the exception of "Too Much" & "Wouldnt Get Far".... and "Lets Ride" and "One Blood" are decent...

9. Scream On Em (Produced By Swizz Beats)-
Now this is a good joint, hard beat Swizz helps out... and Game kills the verses... "Blow his fuckin back out, cause im the rap Stackhouse, Blackwall Street bitch, Hip-Hops crackhouse" and the Chorus is actually pretty damn good...

GRADE: 4.5/5 (Almost 5/5)

10. One Night-
Alone without any big namers... which in this case he is in luck.... cause this joint is fucking great.... Game spits about his brother and old friends, and how they turned back on him.... Game does good on this.... Great beat, and GGREEEATTT Hook... "Im suppose to enjoy this shit, but its quit clear... the last 12 months have been a fucking nightmate"

11. Doctor's Advocate (Featuring Busta Rhymes)-
I wish the beat was towards more like the intro type beat.... but then the decent beat and decent chorus comes on.... But Game revives it with two good meaningful and deep verses... Reminds your alot like "Start From Scratch"... and Busta is also back from Documentary but this times spits a verse basically beening the guy in between Game & Dre... But Game outshines Busta (Even though Game is kinda Dick ridin)...

12. Ol' English (Produced By Hi-Tek)-
Im diggin' this shit.... Layed back type shit, Dion on the chorus... and Game spits deep/real type shit... Good joint. "You see this red rag hangin' out my jeans, I seen over 20 funerals by the age of 19"

Pretty Dope shit right here... But X outshines everybody on this joint.... each all spits 1 verse.. but I dont know, this track is just missing something... but I dont know what it is....

And All I wanna say is that Kurupt is fucking dope in this shit, he takes the cake in this song.... dope beat, and the chorus is alright... But Kurupt kills this shit *KURUPT*- "Cuz Imma Have To Show Him Where The House At, Two Milli Mac's, Semi Automatic Situation All Attack, In The Back, With A Sack, Cadilac, All Black, Like This & Like That".. Kurupt is fuckin ILL...

15. Around The World (Featuring Jamie Foxx) (Produced By Mr. Porter)-
Hotter Beat, Hotter Jamie Foxx Than "Special", but "Special" had alot better verses..... and you can tell Game just try to recreate another "Special"... but didnt happen, but still good...

16. Why You Hate The Game? (Featuring Nas & Marsha A.) (Produced By Just Blaze)-
The 9 Minute Long Track.... And Im Impressed. Just Blaze provides the best beat he has put out for both "Documentary" & "Doctors Advocate"... deep-song... Nas comes in and spits a dope verse... and then Game's first verse (second in song) was kinda suttle, nothing special, but his second verse he spits is very nice.... "Nigga it's Game Time, that was Dre's Favorite Line, Back When Proof Was In The Booth, And I Receited His Lines, And I Still Think About My Nigga From Time To Time, Make Me Wanna Call 50 And Tell Him Whats On My Mind, But I Just Hold Back, Cause We Aint Beefing Like That, He Aint Big [Biggie] and I Aint Pac [2Pac], and we just eating off rap, 1 Love"

Final Thought: 1st Half of the album sucked, point blank, but every second half of the album was alot better... had some great songs....


Final Decision:
The Documentary>Doctor's Advocate (One Sided)

Its kinda easy to tell that Game misses Dre & 50 On Doctors Advocate, but gets help from new comers, Snoop, Xzibit, Kurupt, & Daz, and Jamie Foxx. But he is missing though's "How We Do's", and "Hate It Or Love Its'"... he's missing Timbaland too..... And he is missing though's 50 Cent Features to help create a 'How We Do' or a 'Hate It Or Love'....

But Game did have a great second effort on the Doctors Advocate.. but 8 outta 16 tracks dont make a great album.... 18 outta 18 does....

propz!... shit this is the most realistic review i've heard from any1 i couldn't of said it better myself game's first album was a lot better than his second, shit TD was classic i can hate on that album, but DA, game really sounded like he needed that help from dre and 50 like u said... damn i dont know wut else to say but it was almost a perfect review IMO u broke it down well only thing wrong was the lyrics u put down for some of the tracks.. yea u need to review bank's first and second album wit the whole comparison thing and "the big withdraw" for all the bank's fans' sake
