Obviously the mountain isn't big enough if it's still illegalized. Obviously all of the calculating and estimations aren't enough to support an appealing case. In short, you're relying heavily off things that have failed for years. So when you question my mentality on drugs and my perspective, look at what YOURS has gotten YOU. Then i'll be there the point and laugh at you.

As I mentioned before, several states ARE already moving toward decriminalization.. so your assertion that decriminalization activists have not stated an appealing case is just plain wrong. They have a mountain of ignorance and misinformation to overcome, yet they are still already making huge strides way beyond what most people thought would have been accomplished by now. Even states like Iowa, which are seen as more traditionalist, have made moves towards decriminalization. If more people knew that all the scholarly evidence was on the side of decriminalization, we would be even further along.. but they don't exactly teach that in school.

I recently had to stop smokin because i got locked up over failin drug tests and now i have to choose

and to be completely honest nothin really has changed for the better for me

I still do all the same shit the same way.

I don't see anything more clearly or get shit done at a faster pace or with better quality.

I'm not sittin around everyday like feining and thinkin about smokin.

The only thing that has changed is that i get agitated much more easily.

The little annoying shit that happens just really gets to me now.

When i was smokin and somethin happened i'd be like, huh that sucks and just do somethin to fix it and honestly i'd get it done easily and with minimal frustration.

Now when similar shit happens i get pissed and end up trying to fix it but cuz i'm pissed off i either fuck up or i end up gettin annoyed by somethin else and then i just get really pissed.

Ya sure people can try to generalize the effects of marijuana but a generalization is not factual information because those studies are done with controlling factors. There are no x factors to offset things

There is no realistic way to generalize anything about marijuana and it's effect on people because everybody is affected by weed differently.

Some people function excellently stoned. Others act like they should never ever smoke. Some people freak out and others just laugh a lot and eat a ton of food.
As far as a health aspect of things i know a lady who has lung cancer and goes thru kemo and her doctors tell her to smoke weed

i like the way holland deals with weed use. its legal to purchase & smoke is license shops. illegal to grow and smoke in public. they dont have a 'drug dealer' problem, they get tax income from it, and both the cops and weed smokers are happy with the compromise.

i dont care if they legalize smoking weed here. but there should be stiff penalties for anyone selling it illegally or driving while intoxicated. thats far more then reasonable imo. unfortunately theres a lot of stupid ass motherfuckers that dont think there should be any limits. thats nuthin more then ignorance. ppl need limits & consequences or shit gets outta hand real quick. history doesnt lie.

ya i do agree with you on some level but i believe and i don't have any facts to base this on other than the people i've been around which is in the thousands. Including people on the High times potcast from 2008's Boston Hempfest. Watch the video i'm the lightskinned guy wit the skeleton shirt with a weed leaf for a heart smoking with Graveyard BBQ, the headlining band or go to Graveyard BBQ's myspace page and check out the pics i'm the lightskinned guy in the crowd with the hat with a potleaf on it.

Just as an example of the amount of people i smoke with.

But more than 3/4 of those people drove out of there and conducted themselves while there and i assume upon leavin in a completely functional manner and weren't the sterotypical stoned people that are portrayed by the media.

It's as easy to say that the majority of marijuana smokers cannot properly function as it is to say that they can.

There's still never been a study wide enough to create anything close to a valid percentage of people vs. the effects that they display.

I took the MCAS in Massachusetts, FCAT in florida and the PSAT and SATs all after 2gram faceblunts and i scored in the ninetieth percentile.

But that's just me

science has never proven cannabis to be dangerous, i don't know where you got that information. THC is one of the least toxic chemicals known to man, the only harm that comes from smoking cannabis is the actual smoke itself (although there's never been a proven case of anyone getting lung cancer from smoking strictly cannabis and THC has been shown by a Harvard study to actually reduce the size of lung tumors).. and you can avoid that harm by ingesting it or using a vaporizer. science has repeatedly shown that cannabis has ENORMOUS medical value not just for cancer and AIDS patients but also for treating asthma, chronic pain, preventing Alzheimer's, and helping with opiate addiction. Yet the official policy of the federal government is STILL that cannabis has ZERO medical value. Why are we letting politics get in the way of what some doctors call a "wonder drug?"

And that doesn't even scratch the surface of the industrial uses of hemp. (fuel, clothing, food).. this is one of the most useful plants on earth that we are preventing from being used. It's not common sense, it's madness.
