![]() Company Flow - Funcrusher Plus 1. Bad Touch Example 2. 8 Steps To Perfection 3. Collude / Interlude 4. Blind 5. Silence 6. Legends 7. Lune TNS 8. Help Wanted 9. Population Control 10. Definitive 11. Lencorcism 12. 89.9 Detrimental 13. Vital Nerve 14. Tragedy Of War (In III Parts) 15. The Fire In Which You Burn Featuring J-Treds, & The Brewin From The Juggaknots 16. Krazy Kings 17. Last Good Sleep 18. Info Kill II 19. Funcrush Scratch Im sure just about anyone who listens to underground rap already knows who Company Flow is, for those new to the group though it consist of MC’s EL-P (later of Def Jux fam), Bigg Jus, and DJ Mr. Len (aka Space Ghost). To put it simply this album is amazing, 19 tracks of raw beats and even rawer lyrics, EL-P handles most of the production with the cuts being handled by Mr. Len. The production on this album is just raw, dark beats with creepy background sounds that fit the non stop flows of El and Jus perfectly, and as far as lyrics go….well your not going to find 2 better lyricist then El and Jus on this album, every line they drop is an instant classic. For Example Will ultimately break all beats down into antimatter You couldn't hang if you was bit by a radioactive spider - Bigg Jus Even when I say nothing it's a beautiful use of negative space - EL-P Not to mention the brutally honest tracks like ‘Last Good Sleep’ in which El tells the story of his abusive, drunken step father beating on his mother. “He almost killed your mom” If I knew I could have done something “You'll never see him again” Yeah but I see him every night And cover my ears in tears as he beats his fucking wife This is an album that needs to be checked out by every fan of Hip Hop, underground or not. Overall - 10/10

and @ INS, yes this is the new AOTD thread, I decided to make it Week instead of Day though to give me a little room to decided when I want to put an album up, I might do an album everyday of the week or I might just do 1 a week, I usually just up whatever im spinning myself. and for anyone wondering I up a single track everytime so you can check it first to see if your even feelin the artist so you dont waist time getting something you're not going to like. |

![]() Hanger 18 - The Multi-Platinum Debut Album 1. Intro 2. Where We At? () 3. Beatslope 4. Go Git That 5. Boombox Apocalypse 6. Sadat X Appears Courtesy of... 7. Hangar 18 and the Temple of Doom 8. Saved by the Beezy 9. Blown Bubble 10. Itcherlude 11. Take No Chances 12. Barhoppin' 13. Hangar 101 14. Keeps It Movin' 15. Easier Said Than Done 16. Outro Let me say right off the bat that if youre not an open minded person dont even bother with this album, this takes Def Juxs already out there sound and bumps it up a few more levels. With that being said I gotta say man, these cats can really rhyme their ass off, this group consist of mcs Alaska and Windnbreez with paWL as the dj and they rip just about every track on this 16 record debut. Often times they may even remind you of Pharoahe Monch with the way they so effortlessly rhyme word after word. I will admit that some of the production is a little strange even for my taste though, its like a hybrid of rock, rap, and crazy space shit. Overall though this album really bangs from front to back, give the single a D/L and make your own decision. Overall - 8/10

![]() Cannibal Ox - the F Word EP 1. The F Word (Original/Clean) 2. The F Word (Remix/Clean) 3. Life's Ill (Dirty) 4. Metal Gear 5. The F Word (Original/Instrumental) 6. The F Word (Remix/Instrumental) 7. Life's Ill (Instrumental) 8. The F Word (Original/Dirty) 9. The F Word (Remix/Dirty) () If you're an Ox fan this is definitely worth checking out. The Remix of 'The F Word' (one of my favorite tracks off the Cold Vein) is just dope, RJD2 handles the remix so you already know its gonna be good. The main attraction though is 'Life's Ill' and 'Metal Gear', these are classic Cann Ox tracks. Vast Aire kills 'Life's Ill' with lines like You Put your fingers on my man when he wasnt looking/ Now I got Ten reasons and a cigar cutter/ Lets see in a 5 day week/ I'll mail out two fingers a day to your mother Vast is of course talking about that cat that jumped Vordul in the bathroom and broke his jaw. On the Flip side its Vordul who kills the 'metal gear' track with a flow I really wish he would use more. also this album comes with Instrumentals for all the tracks except 'metal Gear' and a clean version of both 'The f Word' and its Remix, so if your a dj you might want to check this out just for those. Overall - 7/10

A.I.F. 2 Death 10. Blu Samurais 11. We Write The Songs 12. Battle Scarz 13. Mission On Attack (Radio Edit) 14. 100% Freestyle-Live 15. Repazent' All Day (Radio Edit) 16. Give It To You (R & B Joint) These cats are raw, fans of the Wu Tang Clan really need to check this album. The production could pass as RZA's work and the MC's themselves are equally as dope. This is that hardcore philly Hip Hop. Im not sure what else I can say, there really isnt any weak tracks, the only thing that bothers me is the Radio Edits they have on here, I hate getting into a track only to hear half the lyrics edited out. Reallt though fans of that real dirty, raw sounding rap get this. Overall - 8/10

![]() Vordul Mega - The Revolution of Yung Havoks 1. Neva Again 2. Spitamatic ft. C-Rayz Walz 3. Holla Ill 4. Hell Yeah 5. Hard Times 6. Blade 7. Stay Up 8. In the Hood ft. Karnage 9. Pray 10. Believe ft. Jean Grae 11. Struggles 12. Handle That ft. Vast Aire 13. Megallah The first thing you need to know going into this album is that yes Vordul is a dope mc, as one half of the classic group Cannibal Ox he would have to be, but much like Wu-Tangs U-God, Vordul just doesnt have the charisma to hold down an album for dolo, After a few tracks you may grow bored of his un-inspired flow. Luckily we have some very dope Guest mcs sprinkled throughout the album. Also the biggest saving grace for this cd is the production, I could listen to these beats themselves all day, Vordul really has a talent for picking the right type of beats. To rap this up, if youre a fan of dope production, Vordul Mega, or even U-God like mcs check this out. Overall - 6/10

![]() Ill Bill - Whats Wrong With Bill? 1. What's Wrong 2. Overkill 3. The Anatomy Of A School Shooting 4. Glenwood Projects 5. Peace Sells 6. Unstoppable 7. Death Smiles At Murder 8. Chasing The Dragon 9. Alien Workshop 10. Canarsie Artie's Brigade 11. Porno Director 12. American History X 13. Uncle Zowie 14. Legend Has It 15. The Final Scene 16. Chasing The Dragon (Moshpit Mix) Bill is probably one of the most underrated mc's in the game right now, Im sure people see him with Necro and assume he's just on some more of that same old death shit, but honestly Bill is a lot deeper then that, yes he does dabble in the "dark side" of death rap a bit, but one listen to a song like 'The Anatomy Of A School Shooting' will leave you with the feeling that this is an mc's who's going to be moving on to greater things. of course it doesnt hurt that he has Necro (possibly one of the most underrated producers ever) producing almost every track on the album. Necro's dark, eerie beats go perfect with Bill's grim outlook on life. this isnt a classic album by any means though, while just about every track is good, there just isnt much replay value to it, after one or two spins you'll probably forget about it for a while. also the album features just about every artist from 'Uncle Howie Records', this includes Goretex, Sabac, Mr. Hyde, Necro, ect. This can be a good or bad thing depending on the person. overall dope album, just doesnt have enough replay. Overall - 7/10

I've Committed Murder (Gang Starr Remix) - Macy Gray 18. Outro Live At The Lounge - Q-Tip Bonus Track I upped this album for someone else and though I might as well share it here too. Firstly just peep the tracklist, im sure everyone will see at least one rapper on there that will warrant a D/L for them. Second is there really isnt any bad tracks, some are more skipable then others but nothing thats gonna make you stop playing the album. My only problem with this album is that, like many others, it just doesnt seem to have replay value as a whole, you'll probably find three or four tracks you really like and just stick with them. Its not a terrible album by any means but I still feel like it could have been so much better, as it stands though is still enjoyable and has at least one mc for everyone. Overall - 7/10

![]() Happy Clown Bad Dub Eight - The Fun EP 1. Say Hey There (Alternate Version) 2. Panic Attack (Alternate Version) 3. They Call It 4. You Make Me Wanna 5. Secret 6. Spaghetti Strapped 7. Horny Ponycorn Horns Atmosphere are the kings of Emo rap, that right off the bat should tell you if you're going to enjoy their music or not. Ant is always coming through with some fresh production and Slug hardly ever disappoints on the mic, his favorite topic of choice? Females of course, man this guy loves females with a passion, dont get me wrong though, he doesnt make a bunch of weak club songs aimed at girls, nor does he make music as soft as someone like LL Cool J, his raps are more in the vein of an mc like Murs, in fact if you enjoy Murs music you almost certainly like Slug's. This album has two re-workings of classic Atmosphere tracks and 5 never before heard tracks. People looking for something a little different In the underground scene should mos definitely check this out, its just a small sample of what Atmosphere has to offer. Overall - 7/10

Hear the Song 15. You Got Me (featuring Mariah Carey, Freeway and Jay-Z) 16. Line 'Em Up (featuring Young Chris) Man, I love this album with a passion, Im always the first person to defend Free when someone trys to say he's wack, dude has a great voice that keeps him from being confused with any other mc and his rhyme pattern is one of the more unique ive heard, actually a faster spitting Vast Aire would be the best way to describe his rhyming pattern. Most of the production is out of this world, Just Blaze and Kanye West really laced this with some shit. Also contrary to what some of you might think, Free is actually more a conscious rapper then anything, when he does rhyme about guns and drugs he always follows it up with the reason for doing what he did and the consequences of his actions, dude always dropping some shit. "They say the best things in life are *FREE*, but I can't tell I gotta pay for all the food that I take in And gotta pay for all the chronic that I inhale That's why I stick with my team, nigga, stick with my men Y'all dudes *FREE*lance, play for any team Don't stand for nothin then you fall for anything" Sadly this album does have some bad tracks, and even worst they were all put back to back. *On my Own ft Nelly - has decent Free lyrics but the Nelly hook and weak beat kinda kill it. *We Get Around ft Snoop Dogg - Again Free drops some decent shit, Snoop on the other hand is terrible. After this though its all smooth sailing, the second half of this disk has some of the most soulful honest tracks ive ever heard from the Roc camp. Honestly dont hate on Free just cause you seen him all over MTV or because he been on some bad singles, duke is a dope rapper and he at least deserves a chance, peep his album and I bet youll be pretty surprise to find a handful of track you really feel. ![]() Blueprint - 1988 1.Introduction 2.Anything Is Possible 3.1988 4.Inner-City-Native-Son 5.Tramp 6.Boombox 7.Trouble on My Mind 8.Lo-Fi Funk / Aesop Rock 9.Big Girls Need Love Too 10.Fresh 11.Where's Your Girlfriend At? 12.Kill Me First 13.Liberated Blueprint has really been making a name for himself over the last few years, not only is he a dope producer but he can also hold his own on the mic next to some of the bigger names in Independent Hip Hop, you can tell he takes his music very serious and as a result almost everything Print has dropped has been pure gold, this album is no exception, one look at the title should give you an idea of what to expect. Like many other heads, Blueprint seems to regard 1988 as the true Golden era of Hip Hop, and this album pays its respects to that in just about every way, Blueprint successfully merges the sound of late 80's rap with the more cutting edge, futuristic sound that most underground fans have come to recognize as the norm of the Indy scene. Everything from his rhymes to his beats seems to shout 80's baby, just peep the tracks like 'Big Girls Need Love Too' and 'Wheres Your Girlfriend At?' not since the 80's have we heard music this lighthearted, non threatening, and dare I say...funny. Prints got just about every other base covered here too, you a Slick Rick fan? Then peep Prints story telling abilities on the track 'Inner-City-Native Son'. you a Biz Markie fan? Then check the track 'Fresh' with Print spitting over some Beat Box vocals. Overall if you're a fan of the Golden Era of Hip Hop you owe it to yourself to check this album, Blueprints love for the Old School shines throughout this album and should please just about every head on just about every level. Overall - 9/10

Who Stole My Last Piece Of Chicken? Heads already know the deal with this album, Organized Konfusions first album is a undisputable classic, Prince Po and a really fat Pharoahe Monch damn near single handedly built the underground with this album. Back in 91 when other rappers were either trying to prove how gangsta they were or just plain biting another style, O.K. came and revolutionized the image of what dope Hip Hop is. This is also an especially interesting album for Pharoahe Monch fans who may have just recently picked up on the mc's solo work. Pharoahe doesnt yet have his trademark flow on this album but you can slowly hear him crafting it, finding new ways to ride the beat and play with his words, its not untill O.K's follow up album that we see a fully realized Monch start to dominate tracks, but it is interesting to watch him evolve as an artist. Prince Po seems especially fresh on this album, coming with a hunger that ive yet to hear again. This is a album that every hip hop fan needs in their collection. Overall - 10/10
