I'm tryna get studio quality trackz and I alreadi have a mic....some one told me these are the things i need...is it true? can u give me input on some things you use....

whats the function of this/why do i need it...^^^^

the site im buyin from totals all these up to 114.00....

first thing is a mic stand...not really necessary unles u dont have one

second one is pretty mandatory...a pop filter...so yous b's,p's and shit wont be too much air for the mic

and last is a pre amp...which if u have a USB mic u dont need...i guess wit those kind of mic u get better quality

and u need a good recording program...the rest is up to u, whether u kno how to master the track or n ot...i been usin cool edit and squeezed out sum good audio's wit all the features they got..it take a while to get the hang of, but if u fool around wit it u'll be tight

well i need a mic stand...i need a pop filter this i kno...but was the preamp for i have a usb mic...but why wen i record on cool edit it only comes out of one side of mah speakers

I don't use CoolEdit or whatever, but it's either in your microphones settings (Start -> Control Panel -> Sounds & Audio Devices) or in the programs settings. I know when I used AcidPro sometimes you have to adjust everything to the middle IN program [they were sliders for each audio layer]. Look around for it, you should find it.

1) Tha Mic Stand Is Sumthin U Prolly Wanna Have Unless u wanna hold ur mic....and if u get the stand, get a shock mount too

2) Pop Filter is A Must

3) If ur gettin a standard condenser mic (Non-USB), u need something with Phantom Power, whether it be a mixer, a pre amp or the power source in the pic u have....but if u got the USB Mic, u dont need that

^^That would definitely produce higher quality stuff, but would also set him back a couple of hundred bucks (if he got a decent mic to work with)
