Avoiding punchlines anyone?

Aight check this out. Punchlines is the easiest way to rhyme. Rhyme the end of one line with the end of the other line.

Now im tryina find a way to avoid punchline rapping...but i fail every time. Any suggestions??

What i got in mind is rapping somewhere like P on Survival Of The Fittest, where he completely disregards any "line" structure in his rhymes, but i cant. Any ideas?

First off a punchline is (like said) a witty statement at the end of a bar. Not just a bar that rhymes the last word with the one above it.

Example, here's a Big L punchline..

Fuckin punk, you ain't a leader, what? Nobody followed you/
You was never shit, your mother shoulda swallowed you/

Just an aggressive, clever, funny, witty statement at the end of a line. That's a punchline. In Survival of the Fittest P uses a sort of "free-rhyme" structure, and he use's a lot of internal rhymes -- he STILL rhymes, but he switches it up a lot.

There's a war goin on outside, no man is safe from
You could run but you can't hide forever
from these, streets, that we done took
You walkin witcha head down scared to look
You shook, cause ain't no such things as halfway crooks
They never around when the beef cooks in my part of town/

You get it? He switches it up and rhymes in the middle of the line along with the end of the bar.
