I guess Rakim may prove that after the aftermath, there is still something after that.

Ever since the rapper left the Aftermath label in the summer of 2003, he seems to have struggled to find a home. After hearing about numerous offers from a number of recording labels, nothing was ever confirmed, but it seems as if 50's G-Unit may seal the deal with his one time idol as his artist.

This may not be a surprise as 50 Cent has already acquired established artists on his roster such as Mobb Deep, MOP, and was trying to acquire Mase before things with P Diddy went sour. In addition, it was rumored last year that the G-Unit general even tried to add the late Tupac Shakur's catalog onto his roster, promising to boost sales and bring better light to late rapper's posthumous remains.

If true, 50 Cent may be closer to sealing the deal than we think as the God MC performed for the G-Unit line on BET's Rip The Runway show.

If anything is ever confirmed, it will be interesting to see the reaction of Rakim followers as many established artists that have joined G-Unit Records such as Mobb Deep have been chastised and abandoned by some of their loyal fanbase for making the move.

i find this funny because all you old 'g-world' dukes joined this site when it was a 'g-unit' fansite..hense you were probably a g-unit fan? now you all run around with your 'underground' antics. it is, in fact, hilarious. not to mention any names..but the more unknown the artist you like is, the more your taste is respected, and the more you grow 'snobbery' in music. pathetic.

.......^i did join this site becuz i used it to DOWNLOAD MY MUSIC(notice not just G-unit....but music)...i was also on D-blocks........and i still like the Unit's old shit...............from H4M back is good to me.....the rest is ass.........like i said....if it was back when unit was in their prime i said it'd be cool.....cuz they was holding New York on the map imo.................but now they are flopping.....and most of it is because their credability has been injured....yet they remain putting out terrible music.............so its liek they're killing themselves....................

now KP.....wanna find something else to try to be "intelligent about"???

i joined to make fun of ppl then left, then got banned
and came back in september

and im not one of those underground artist dickriders either :)
