The hip hop purists will ALWAYS have music to listen to as there will always be lyrical artists. Their problem is that they're control freaks. They want the lyrical stuff to be gettin the airplay, the TV ratings, the shine. But that can't and won't ever happen.

So they just get pissed off at the mainstream stuff getting the attention(while listening to it on the low just to bitch about it) instead of just shuttin the fuck up, accepting reality and listening to their lyrical shit on their ipods.

this is some twisted ass logic... name one other genre where the most talented artists dont even get to make it persay.... you cant... hip hop is the only one.. busta said it right "hip hop is the only industry that provides jobs to people who don't even love the shit."

how do you know they dont wanna hear it when most of them havent even heard it? and as far as pop music goes, thats not really comparable to hip hop in the first place... but even if you WERE to compare them, i dont think you would find quite the array of talented underground pop artists as hip hop artists... just call it a hunch.. but you have no logic or reasoning in your arguments

Tracks get broken in all over the city. They're tested on audiences and in clubs to gauge the reaction. Listen, if anything was that good it would've made it to the top naturally.
