Need Help W/My Mac

ok so i want to get a new ipod but all the new ipods nowadays require mac os x v10.4.10 or later and itunes 8 or later. but my mac is only os x v10.3.9. how do i update my computer so that i have the requirements that i need to put music on a new ipod? i don't want to go buy one unless i know i can put music on it. someone please help.

just go to the top left of your screen to the apple sign, and under it it says software update. just click that and it will show 10.4.10 or whatever the latest is

You have to buy 10.4 (you really should buy 10.5 because it's newer and Apple update their software rapidly). To download 10.4.10, you have to already have Mac OSX 10.4. Most people should already have Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard" or Mac OS X v10.4 “Tiger”.

What you have is already outdated. It happened to me as well about using the new iPod Touch.
