i had the same problem a while back...it was the headphone jack in the ipod...i took that shit to the apple store and got a new one

Yeah same thing happened to my old 30Gb Video iPod.

It's pretty common, I heard of it happening a lot.. I just bought a itouch when it came out..

The old one, I put tin-foil over the jack of the audio cable (which goes into my system) and it works fine, I never take it anywhere it stays in the same place, otherwise I would have got it fixed.

But yeah your iPod is definatly fucked man.

i had that happen to me. inside the ipod where u stick the headphones into the ipod there are two pins for your left and right ears that touch the headphone thing that u stick in. what happend is your headphones got tugged on (probably because u wrapped the headphones around the ipod) and it pushes the two pins to one side so it only touches one of the pins now. if u push on the headphones to make them touch it they should work but its annoying as hell. basically ur fucked. i just said fuck it and got a touch

:o. I have the same problem almost. My Ipod plays louder in the left speaker than in the right speaker. I doubt there's a problem with the earphones because they work everywhere else. :(
