News Fabolous Clarifies Recent Remarks, "I'm Not Against 50"

After 50 Cent publicly responded to Fabolous' tweets about about the This Is 50 Fest, the New York rapper has clarified his comments and said he was merely sharing an opinion.

According to Fab, his Tuesday (October 6) Twitter comments words were misunderstood.

"The only thing I really don't like about Twitter is a lot of what you say can be taken out of context," Fab said in a statement. "If you say something now, the way the media is, if you include somebody's name it in it becomes a big web and big blog interest...The kind of artist he was when he started he was almost totally against that. He isolated himself and G-Unit, and even attacked other people, and had beefs with other people, mainly other New York rappers. A lot of people feel like he helped crumble New York Rap because he changed people's perspectives, changed people's situations. He was incredibly successful. He had the power of King Kong and they were not as successful and they were kind of at his mercy... "He was able to shift his weight around due to the money he made and the money he was making and I think that he did that. I seen the concert pictures on-line and it looked a little different, a little weird to me. I'm not against 50. I didn't say it in a beef way. Certain people were already throwing up blogs to create rivalries between different people, commenting and it was really taken out of context. That was just a random thought of mine..." (Hip Hop DX)

Writing via his website, ThisIs50.com, the G-Unit leader reflected on Fab's Twitter comments Tuesday afternoon.

"Reading what Fab said about me on Twitter was disappointing," Fif wrote. "I have extended myself to Fab personally to allow him to expand himself as an international Touring Artist. I thought we were Friends but that's cool. Law #2: Never put too much trust in friends. Learn how to use enemies. Be wary of friends--they will betray you more quickly, for they are easily aroused to envy. They also become spoiled and tyrannical. But hire a former enemy and he will be more loyal than a friend, because he has more to prove. In fact, you have more to fear from friends than from enemies. If you have no enemies, find a way to make them. --50th Law of Power. Am I 50 Cent or Am I Machiavelli? D*mmmm!!! (This Is 50)

Fab initially suggested 50's previous rap beefs destroyed unity among New York rappers.

"Its interesting to c 50 Cent unite wit NY artists when he's 1 of the reasons NY hip hop became so isolated & crumbled..Do u agree NY??," Fab wrote Tuesday (October 6) morning. "I wonder if this is a law in the 50th law of power book?? I guess it was a good show 4 NY.. But if u asked 50 a few years ago if he ever saw hisself on stage with any of them he woulda said H*LL NO! Still 2 this day, 1 of the illest things i saw..Was 1 year a stadium full of fans screamin 4 Ja Rule, the next year sh*ttin on him 4 50 cent At 50's peak his grind was unmatched, image was bulletproof, music was ignorantly motivational & catchy, even classic. most never hav that So dont think im takin shots at 50.. Jus that NY show had me a lil puzzled.. But i love NY so i couldnt knock it if i wanted to." (Fabolous' Twitter)

During the event, 50 explained the significance behind his rap-uniting gathering.

"I wanted to make a festival that didn't necessarily have to have an artist [who has a] single in rotation at the time," 50 explained. "That doesn't directly reflect good hip-hop. It reflects marketing dollars spent by the major corporations, the companies. Tonight we have everybody that means something to us musically in one spot. When I bring Cory Gunz, Trav, Maino...They say New York City, we don't actually get along, that's not true. We could work together and get more money than we can get apart, and they gonna see us do it in the future." (MTV)

Fab my nigga, its understandable where he is coming from...

Fifty didnt invite fab cause his singles have been in rotations and all the other artists didn't...

I just love NY rap in a whole, so i loved to see that.Who wasn't surprised when fifty did this..i was shocked and thats how Los felt...

according to Broadway, one of Fifty's associates, Fab was invated but didn't have the time to join the festival

So Fab is saying that because Fifty was so big and successful and powerful, he shouldnt have beefed with Ja/Cam, Joe, Jada etc, cause he hurt them, made people think those artists suck, Fifty killed them, so NY rap must be shit now. Is that what he is saying? THat cause he was so powerful, he shouldnt beef with anyone in NY cause he will hurt there careers, which will hurt NY rap. Is he fucking kidding me?
