no, he was a Jehovah's Witness for most of his life, but like some of his family members he stopped practicing in the 90's, he then began to celebrate christmas etc, all the shit about him changing his name etc was false, all speculation started by the media after he was seen wearing somewhat of a burka in Bahrain.
