Real Spit: Original hard beats, two new verses on each record and 50 Cent talking at the end of a lot of the songs. Admit it: Sometimes hearing Fif speak at the end of records is just as entertaining as hearing him rap.

"That's when I don't have to be in song format," 50 said last week from his new G-Unit Manhattan office. Yeah, he and his crew packed up from their old 34th Street digs and have a better spot. "I can say exactly what I mean, and people are entertained by that too. That's also a sign that you're a star."

50 is using his star power to help accomplish his mission. We've been telling you for a week now what the Southside Queens native wants: a resurgence in hardcore hip-hop. That soft stuff is saturating the music right now, he said. Last week, he dropped his first of three mixtapes this summer, War Angel LP. There's definitely some joints on there. "Redrum (Murder)" is pretty mean.

Sincerely Southside Part 2 is dropping next week, and a full G-Unit mixtape is coming in August. They're all his "writing assignments" to keep him from overworking his September release, Before I Self Destruct. That project is in a very healthy space and just about ready to go, he said.

"The guy that's trying to get a record deal right now, he should be writing with very strong passion," 50 said. "Right now, he's in competition with 50 Cent, and I'm writing like I need a record deal. It's tough for him."

He's hungry.

"I can write at that pace and achieve what I want," 50 continued. "You won't say there's a lack of quality in [War Angel]. That's why I called it an LP instead of a mixtape. They need to hear that."

On 50 Cent is the Future, I had the Raphael Saadiq 'You Should Be Here.' I had the 'Luv U Better' [beat] from LL Cool J's album. It was more of 'She's after my cheddar' from my perspective. It was a record that was working commercially at the time. At this point, I wanted to do something that was commercial-free, a whole CD. My closest thing to a commercial hit record [on this CD] would be 'I'll Do Anything.' The lyrics [from the original] was a huge commercial hit record, but I flipped it."

» "OK, Alright." "If I ask you to name a hip-hop record that didn't have an R&B chorus that made it into the top 10 within the last two years, it's difficult," 50 said. "It's been two years since my last album came out. So I'll make 'OK, Alight' work it until they're actually ready for a hip-hop record. You see how much harder that record feels to the other records that's playing before and after it [on the radio]. They're all R&B records. 'OK' is working. That's what's missing."

For all I know 50 is the only commercial rapper who can make hip hop track/hit without a R&B chorus.

50 HAD enough songs with 3 verses but ever since Curtis he has 2 verses. On Curtis I think that 2 or 3 tracks had 3 verses and all his singles after that: 2 verses.

And I don't mind 50 rapping about his money, he usually does it right: I Get Money, STTB, OK... I like all these tracks, minus the retarted chours from Yayo on STTB. But when he raps about living the hood life in present he sounds forced.

Does mixtape songs need to have 3rd verse? Would you like it more or you need to be more critic? I don´t know why you hate or don´t like song while it even started. There is no rule for 3rd verse. I think Fif chose his way of making music. He already said he will be back at his old level. Maybe it will not be what it was, I mean classic but if it will be good than it will have chance to live with hip-hop. Confused are some Fifty and hip-hop fans. They don´t really know what they want from 50 Cent. Some want old Fifty, some don´t care about that, some want only new music no matter of what, some don´t want hear another Fif club song, song about money, some don´t know they want. When Fif something drops everybody is tryin´ to be the greatest critic or hater. Does you get money for that? Do you really know what you want to hear? Do you know what Fif should rap about than? So who is confused than?

To article - Fif is right about those songs. Especially about those RNB hits. Look at Eminem his We made you was big hit. But if you change rnb chorus with rap chorus that shit maybe flop. Im sure... And yes let Fif try make hit song. His motto is Get Rich or die tryin´. So his core is still about tryin´.

What 50 dont realize is that he NEEDS an r&b type chorus or vibe in order to sell nowadays....

Even on GRODT he has 21 questions and other softer type songs....thats how you reel the ladies in, thats how you get sales....

Unless he puts out the best flow he ever imagined on the best beat ever imagined he cant pull of great sales without some type of r&b feel to it...

Even Many Men had that melodic chorus and beat....thats what 50 needs...mixed in with a lot of lyrical content on the entire THREE verses he should be doing....

My only worry is, if that is the stuff that was scrapped from the album - what is his tape going to sound like? I mean if Interscope didn't like what we heard on War Angel and they wanted something more "poppy" what can we expect?
