Although he’s been noticeably absent from the spotlight for a while, West Coast mainstay The Game is plotting a return to the hip-hop scene and he promises to hit the streets with some brand new material real soon.

In an interview with MTV News the Doctor’s Advocate revealed his plans to deliver a weekly mixtape series in the coming weeks. “This summer, it ain’t a nigga that’s gonna out-mixtape me,” he said. “I’m dropping a mixtape every week. It ain’t gonna be like no bullshit mixtape shit. I’m dropping mixtapes that sound better than people’s albums.”

Chuck Taylor, who is currently working on his new studio album The R.E.D., already has a title for his introductory tape in the series. “The first one is gonna be the Bloody Thumb with the red thumbprint on the front.”

The R.E.D., Game’s follow up disc to 2008’s L.A.X., will feature production from Miami hitmakers Cool & Dre. The duo provided the Compton rapper with one of his biggest hits to date, “Hate It Or Love It” from his debut, The Documentary.

As of press time there is no release date for Bloody Thumb or The R.E.D. – Max G

He taking what Crooked I did and doing tapes with it, but why? Why not focus on a tape a month, make them really dope, a tape a week might be too much. That much material on the streets before the album, that could water down your album, people hearing you too much, but maybe he feels flood the streets with music. But they probably 10 tracks, freestyles, alot of old shit he has recorded probably,mixed with some new songs/freestyles. But that title sounds pretty dope, with a bloody thumbprint in red and shit, thats pretty ill.

Yeah a tape a week is pushing it. A monthly series would be good but a tape a week is overkill. People will get tired sooner r later. Look at Wane he had complete overkill with his mixtapes even though 90% of the Wayne mixtapes released every week weren't even official Wayne mixtapes. Gucci doing good because he releases new material constantly but he don't release official Gucci Mane mixtapes weekly more like bi weekly. He may release 2 or 3 new songs weekly. Game should follow a path like that. Release new songs weekly but not a mixtape weekly. Or atleast release a new mixtape bi weekly. Anyways as long as it's as dope as Bang Along I'll rock to it.

flooding the streets is exactly what lil wayne did, and look what happened to him. Not saying game will get as big as wayne but it will definitely build buzz. Last time around LAX he didn't do any other music to hype it up and get his name out there, he probably realized he fucked up and needed to put in work. I can see him putting out around three, all the mixtapes are probably ready to be released anyways since dude has been in the lab since early 2009. He's about to be on tour so he's had to finished a couple by now.

LAX was a success, sold a good amount of records but he could have done even better if he promoted through more music in the streets. Why do you think dude came back just months after LAX dropped saying he was going to work on another CD because it didn't reach what he wanted it to do. He was pleased with the numbers but he knew he could have done better and he also recieved some backlash on LAX. He wants his next one to shit on it.
