i dont like a lot of rap for that exact reason, but im also the market group hes tryiing to reach with his bubblegum shit and i use to love it but now its like listening to the same songs with a different producer, the things about mos def and immortal is that they are conscious rappers so they cant stray too far, 50 came in as a gangster rapper with diverse beats and was creative with his flow and lyrics....and now he isnt like that, he used to be cocky and funny with his lyrics, now his cockyness is arrogance and instead of being funny he pushes it on us that he has too much money to care about what people say....but the people saying this shit are his former fans and now he isnt selling shit....and hes "spendin it like it dont mean nothin" so i dont see how he can remain a success if he doesnt give a fuck about what his fans want....fuckin nobody said "oh yea 50 needs more candy shops and just a little bits.....instead everyone said 50 needs more what up gangstas and wankstas.....and the closest thing we got was a mix of both called i get money

Being a conscious rappers has nothing to with it. He came in a gangster rapper, an with the masacure he divated. With those "bubble gum" records. Fact is, there's an audiance for that shit. Women, or who ever's buying that shit. I skip candshop every time I play the massacure. If you really look at it, people want 50, to conform to being a gangster rapper. With comment's like, "Man he needs to make some more hardcore shit". Fact is, his fan base is diverse. the 2 album did 11million, when it first came out, people were say all kind of shit, calling it garbage untill it got to 10 million. Now people focus on his 3rd album with negativity, witch at 5 million plus. Most of the people who say negativ shit about his music are not fans. So you can't expect him to really pay attetion to those kind of comments, even if there true at time's.

50 Said he wrote I get money as a mixtape track, so mabe you need to check out those. Cuz nobody, even the niggaz who "hate 50" put know all his songs, got nothing to say when it comes to his mixtapes.
