News Cam’ron Expected To Sell A Lot More Than 45k Projections, Says Label

Earlier today music industry insiders HitsDailyDouble.com reported that Cam’ron’s comeback album Crime Pays is set to sell between 40-45,000 in its first week out.

XXLMag.com spoke to a rep at Asylum, Cam’s label, and without giving a specific number they believe that the Dipset Don is on track to sell a lot higher than the projections.

HitsDailyDouble estimates that Cam is expected to debut at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 next week. If they are right on both accounts, Crime Pays will be the lowest selling no. 1 album of all time.

In related news, the Harlemite’s label mate Paul Wall will also debut on the charts next week. Fast Life, his latest effort is believed to sell around 15-20K.

I dont like that nigga at all, but if he spent at most 100 000 on his album(which i doubt) with no promo, cheap beats and shit, he gonna sell around 100 000 at the end of the day, thats around 600-700 000 he taking off record sales, with 100 000 spent, he gonna come clean with at least 500 000.

Not to mention that niggaz got love for him in NY and he doing a tour wit Jada...

Its rescession and Cam is gonna get his money.

But his album and his raps are an ass. He is rapping like he is a taking a cold shower with no lights and reading his rhymes of the paper with a flashlight

Haven't heard the album yet but from I've seen from this tracklist 45k isn't that bad. Give him sick beats and ft with Wayne, Kanye, T-Pain, Robin Thicke, Neyo and John Legend he'll sell more and will be def nr 1.

Anyway 2 bad Cam couldnt do better numbers but nonetheless he #1 this week which wont last cuz last time i checked for May 19th you got Relaspe, Back on my B.S. and Blackout 2 coming out. Owell I supported Cam n copped it. Even know I havnt gotten ta listen to it I've been a fan of Cam n got all his solo LP's. If Crime Pays is anyhting like Killa Season then I'll like it.

BTW I listened to that bullshit and I'm glad I did b/c I thought he was going to have a hard cd after hearing the Jada song which wasn't on the album, Ohio, Hate My Job.
