PyroRadio.com: So is the writing on the wall for Gangsta rap in your opinion?

Asher Roth: I think it's about that time. It will be around, but if you look at The Game for example who was the last person to really come out talking that kinda stuff. Was he successful? Yes, but were people relating to it? No. You go to Los Angeles and Mexico that stuff gangs and stuff still exist but is that what we should be glorifying, no. People can disagree with me because there is a struggle in this country but rather than glorify gangs and make kids wanna join gangs I think we should concentrate on building and teaching rather than destroying shit.

Even Thou He critisizes the Game, but at least he categorises Game properly, coz alot of Fans/Industry Dudes Put The Game into Wayne/T.I/Kangay Category but it aint right, none of them are Gangsta Rappers and none of them represent The Real gangsta Rap, Maybe Could Say that about Snitch when He dropped Tip vs T.I and King, but he aint dropping like that anymo, coz you cant talk about Being a trap niggaz cooking crack and havin all that and working with feds and taking niggaz to court.

So Tip Falls into Fagget/Snitch/ Soft Category.

But Props to Asher Roth, first person who actually sees that Game is in his own lane, Gangsta Rap Lane,The closest person is Jeezy, he is raw and Hard but he is Dirty South and Gangsta Rap Comes from the West Coast.

So He is Light Years away from actually Having a Plastic CD on the shelves in stores, Same with Glasses,Bishop and others
And Cube too, Game and Cube, 2 Gangsta rappers we have left.

I believe nobody has really joined a gang because of Gangsta Rap, some suburb kids might act like they're in a gang or something like that, but if someone becomes a gang banger it's not because of the Gangsta Rap, it's because he lives in that type of environment. Or because all his friends are in a gang too. etc.

They born to it and live with it. Music is something else for them. They can fuck whole comercial scene. Gangsta rap still live in underground and underground music is in lot of ways little better than comercial scene. There is real hip-hop that is living in streets also lot of them listen to old school and don´t admit new school.
