I can't see why there is all this hate for rap city, probably cause everyone here likes commercial rap...

What other music video program played Saigon's videos? Term's? Who else put Gza, Keith Murray, and others in the booth? None.

And Tigger didn't make shit, that show has been around since 1989 and not much has really changed. Yes, there was some bad videos played, yes some terrible artists got int he booth, but what will we be watching now? 106 and Park, MTV Jams, etc are all terrible.

Hmmm, no he didn't make shit. Great rappers went on Rap City before and after Tigger. The booth was there before and after Tigger. Good rappers got a start there before and after Tigger. Dope videos from Dope artists were played (occasionaally) before and after Tigger. What did he do again?

the kids may just have loved his personality thats why.

I also saw kids were confused when i said about pac on rap city, these new kids they started watchin when tigger hosted.. they probably started listenin to rap in the early 2000's when "nelly" & ludacris came out.. i dont care about the host just show the damn video's and booth.. Joell Ortiz had a classic one in the sneaker store.. and Game did too with Busta that was FIRE !!! I got the IRON MAN HAHA

Nothing about the show changed, I don't give a fuck what Tigger has to say. The new show is getting cancelled because viewers want pop bullshit like 106. The host doesn't matter. Exactly, its been around since like '89. But being a kid is no excuse, I'm 18 I just like to listen to real rap, none of this radio bullshit. And that Game freestyle with Busta was so dope.

For the shit they play for the most part, it's a positve step for BET to clean up it's image. What they really need to is have a better video selection on 106 and Park for people to vote on. It has been a candy ass bubblegum show for the longest.
The interview sessions were good, but the video content is what got it cancelled. Remember when the corporate companies like GMC and others pulled their ads from the show because of the 'violent content' the videos display? I just wish that they could have better balance out the videos. IMO.

BET clean up it's image ? I agree with most of what you said. Everything is not positive and clean, you're right about that, but when they play too much of the same shit, as they say too much of anything is no good for you. Hiding violence is not what I want. What I want is that they should mix shit up. They are trying, but they didn't find that special formula yet. This is not sounding like a sellout as you call it.
