The bottom line is….there is crying in hip hop…..and if you ask me, there should be more! Because if a couple salty driplets can save a man (or woman) from much longer periods of overcompensating bravado and me-so-thuggy-me-lash-out-to-make-up-for-lack-of-hugs-on-homefront….than damnit…make it rain, mofos!

In these three situations, so evilly-spliced together by the Al-Jazeera Network of hip hop (aka Thisis50.com)…..you got crocodile tears from one guy who really truly could benefit from a private sob-a-thon with a big bucket of chocolate-mint Dibs….you’ve got a breakdown from a guy whose body is possibly riding a rollercoaster of chemical substances…..and you’ve got a guy who is reacts strongly to things but also seems to have serious mood swings overall. Bottomline is….“Today’s forecast? Dark and cloudy, and chance of drive-bys” (c) Haziz, 40-Year-Old Virgin.

But thisis50….you guys left out DMX’s emotional speech at his old school, Jim Jones’ moving testimony on the BET Worlds Aids day show, Kanye’s breakdown during “Hey Mama” in Paris, and footage of me watching “Love Actually,” “Pride and Prejudice,” “50 First Dates,”or assorted episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy.”
