Sean Levert found dead

R.I.P to Sean Levert of the R&B group Levert. He was found dead over the weekend a Cleveland, OH jail. As you know he had some issues with child support and was being held for nott paying some $80k in support to his three kids. Maybe there were larger issues at hand. The cause of death is not yet know. As you know (or should), he was the son of O'Jays lead singer Eddie Levert and younger brother of Gerald Levert. He was a mere 39 and had recently completed an album with Marc Gordon, the third member of Levert. Sad.

BEY-Z: THINGS ARE GETTING SERIOUS?

Via the New York Daily News, Jay-Z and Beyonce are getting very serious:

Things are getting more serious for Jay-Z and Beyoncé. The couple of nearly six years have been slow to take that next step in their relationship, in part because her parents believe she’s too young (26) to get married. But now that Beyoncé’s acting career is taking off, her folks are more open to the pair getting serious, says a pal of the Knowles clan.

While Beyoncé was on location filming “Cadillac Records,” Jay-Z met up with Knowles sibling Solange in the Florida Room of South Beach’s Delano Hotel, where the pair sipped on Don Julio tequila and chatted about how the hip-hop mogul could move things to the next level.

JAY-Z GETS TWO-FACED ON ‘EM

I take this with a grain of salt, but they are saying that Jay-Z might be picked to the next spokesperson for Fendi. A number of sources say that Jay met with Karl Lagerfeld, the head of Fendi. Jay is apparently a model in the company’s next photo shoot.

LIL WAYNE IN PHILLY

Here is what a concert goer aid about the Lil’ Wayne in Philly:

“He was like an hour and a half late but he put on a sick ass show. After watching Dj touchtone dj for and hour and a half waitin for Weezy people started booing ..5 minutes later Weezy came out to Fireman. he looked mad fu**ed up but he def threw it down and rocked the crowd. Security gettin in was very rough though, there were like a million police officers outside and inside the event. Show was def sick though.”

PEOPLE CAN’T WAIT FOR CASSIDY?

Hip-Hop fans are getting a lil’ beside themselves! I heard that Cassidy is still doing his thing and made an appearance at Xavier University in New Orleans. People expected him around 10 pm and he didn’t show up until about 11. People started leaving! Now an hour late and that’s not bad for rapper time. Anyway, I heard the Hustler fared well with the people that were patient. Thanks Pounders!

BUSH GETS BOOED!

Damn, y’all voted him in and now you want to boo, son son. Well, he did jack the elections, but still. He got booed something terrible at the 2008 Nationals home opener. 294 DAYS until dude is gone!

TONE LOC IS A NICE DUDE

Tone Loc is still drinking that funky cold medina, but a couple of bars are saying that he ripped them off. Peep this report that was on tmz.com:

Two small Michigan bars were scammed out of a total of $1,400 last summer after a man posing as Loc's manager promised the rapper would play their establishments. Why this con man didn't pose as the manager of a popular rapper -- one from the 21st century, perhaps? -- is a mystery.

Fast forward to this year, where Tone's real manager heard about the misfortune, and out of the kindness of his heart agreed that the rapper would play at both bars -- for Tone's regular fee.

Clearly Sir Mix-a-Lot, Young MC and Kid 'n Play were all too busy.
