10/26/07 - Pulse Report:Cam'ron's Back In Business, Lil Wayne,Ice-T

In this week's Pulse Report the streets are buzzing about Cam'ron's comeback, 50 Cent running out of stories, Lil' Wayne's new joint "Gossip," and Ice-T's "racist ways."

1. Is 50 Running Out Of Stories? Middle finger you guys! I like 50. I even had money on the man on September 11, but let's be honest here. Mr. Jackson may have run out of inspiration by his second album, but the redundancy is now getting ridiculous. After documenting his life story in Get Rich Or Die Trying (film and album) and his first book, From Pieces to Weight: Once Upon A Time In Southside Queens, Fif recently released another book, 50 x 50: 50 Cent In His Own Words. The book reportedly traces 50's story from his hustler days to his ascension into a multi-million dollar rap mogul. Why!? Come on, Fif! Tell us something new. Make up something if you have to.

It turns out that the book came out the same day as Lance Bass' book. Bass, a former member of boy band *NSYNC, came out of the closet a while back.

"With me, everything's a competition, so I bet you the end of next week, I'll be moving more copies than him," 50 told New York's Daily News. "This is the same competition - this is Kanye West and 50 Cent all over again!"

Hopefully he'll stop releasing books if Bass beats him." Go Lance!

2. Killa's Back. If Fif can't deliver, why not settle for Cameron's delusional @$$? Yet another video preview of Cam's forthcoming "Public Enemy #1" mixtape has surfaced onto the web. The hilarious clip has a Cam stan coming up short as he follows Killer's every move. "Ayo, Cam wait up. Ni--as wanna know what's poppin' my dude," shouts the stalker as he witnesses Cam jetting off in his Porsche, hugging his shorty's apple and walking through what appears to be a high school gym. The funny thing is that Cam, well aware of his stalker, brushes him off until he randomly shoots at his camera towards the end of the clip. 3. Weezy Gossips! An audio of "Gossip," the song on which Wayne allegedly disses 50, has finally hit the net. Weezy sparked conversation when he premiered the song at the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta two weeks ago. While he never mentions Fif by name, Wayne is obviously addressing detractors on the song.

"Stop...hating on a ni**a / That is a weak emotion, the lady of a ni**a / Where you can get tipped like you waitin on a ni**-a /Put a body bag and an apron on a ni**a," Lil' Weasel opens before once again addressing haters on the third verse. 4. Jay-Z Slaps Ne-Yo, T-Pain Is On Cocaine and Cassie Is A Slut...Allegedly that is. SOHH recently caught up with the aforementioned artists in addition to Nelly, Bun B, Lupe Fiasco, Ice-T and others to find out their most shocking online moments.

"Somebody told me I'm racist," Ice-T admitted to SOHH with a smile. "My wife is white. I'm too damn light to be racist."

5. Dame Dash Vents, Little Brother Leaves ABB Records & The Jena 6 Is Stuntastic? Sorry, Hov. "Big Brother" is good, but it's not Kanye West's best written song since "Jesus Walks." "I'm Sorry Dame" would have made a much better song. Even West admitted to doing Dame foul in the past. The always entertaining Dash has surprisingly kept quiet on the matter, until recently.

"More power to him," Dash admitted to SOHH recently, regarding Kanye's success. "I think it's a good thing that someone that was probably kicked around his whole life is now empowered; it's just what he does with it. The only thing that bothers me about Kanye's situation is that everyone's still eating off it except me. I would have poly'd that deal a little different. Everyone that's still eating off him is everyone that said he couldn't make it, but other than that I'm happy to see what he does." [See Dame Dash video, here]

It wasn't fun while it lasted. After a turbulent relationship, Little Brother has just left ABB Records. Phonte and Big Pooh broke the news during a performance at New York's Highline Ballroom this past weekend. It turns out that Get Back, the group's third LP, fulfilled their contractual obligations with the label.

So, after all the support the hip-hop community has landed to the Jena 6, two of the kids are repaying us with embarrassment. It's bad enough that dudes got all rapper-ish when appearing onstage at the recent Bet Hip-Hop Awards. Photos allegedly featuring a few of the Jena 6 students indulging in niggorant behavior have popped up on YouTube. [Watch Here] The blurry pics feature the youths sporting shades as they show off chains and large sums of money. That better not be no donation funds! If the photos are authentic, I want my $20 back.
