Jeffersontown Police Department Chief Rick Sanders said his officers arrested John Cantey Jr., 46, on Saturday -- and Cantey claimed to be Juvenile's agent.

Police arrested Cantey Saturday morning at the Marriott Hotel on Embassy Square. According to the arrest report, he took a Detroit woman to his hotel room and, after she declined to have sex with him, raped her.

The arrest report claims the victim positively identified Cantey, and provided officers with a business card he’d given her.

Sanders said Cantey traveled with Juvenile, who performed a concert in Frankfort over the weekend.

Cantey is listed in the police report as the CEO of JC Houseman Productions, a North Carolina talent firm. The agency has no listing in the online Yellow Pages and no website.

Cantey does have a MySpace page which describes him as a booking agent for "top artists" and is wallpapered with images of Juvenile, but names none of his clients. It also claims his income is $250,000 per year or more.

At his Monday arraignment, Cantey pleaded not guilty and a judge admonished him to have no contact with the victim. His bond was set at $100,000 full cash. As of Tuesday, Cantey has yet to post bond.

According to the Fayetteville Observer, Cantey won his council seat on a successful write-in campaign in 2005, after losing in 1997. The Observer also reported Cantey has a previous criminal record.

In 1996, the paper reported, he pleaded guilty to 19 misdemeanor counts of Defrauding the Employment Security Commission. According to court records, Cantey received a $296 unemployment check weekly from Oct. 1995 to Feb. 1996 while he had a sales job at Fayetteville's Ted Parker Home Sales.

Juvenile, a New Orleans native and an innovator of the Dirty South sound, has had several albums in Billboard's top 10 since the 1990s, including "Tha G-Code" and "Reality Check." He is well remembered for his breakthrough single "Back That Azz Up."
